Design a Home on Mars 2-Day Camp 

Children will have fun learning the differences and challenges of Mars vs. Earth and understanding the conditions required to design for living on Mars. For Day 1 morning, children will create their own Martian land base model with hills and terrain before starting on the the extensive space planning of their home on Mars with consideration for spaces to live, shelter, clothing, farming, supply of air, water and electricity for habitation. 

Children will be introduced to current examples and research of Space Architecture to inspire possible design outcomes. They will have fun getting creative prototyping their home design on Mars with everyday objects and model-making materials, completing their model design by Day 2 afternoon for group sharing of ideas.

It will be a fun workshop to expand children's imagination and look into the future of possibilities, honing on their problem-solving and critical thinking skills to think of out-the-box in building up their Home on Mars model prototype.

DesignTinkers camps are specially curated and led by instructors who are experienced architects, designers and educators with the passion and experience of working with young children to nurture their creative interests. Camps are held in our spacious and conducive classroom for kids to create and explore freely under guidance.

What can be refunded?

When refunds are applicable, we will review the request on a case-by-case basis. Do note that refunds will be for the amount paid on the BYKidO platform, and not for any amount paid directly to the merchant. 

What cannot be refunded?

Once the item has been out for delivery or the service rendered, BYKidO will no longer be able to offer any direct refunds. Instead, refund requests related to amount paid directly to the merchant, or when items have been received or services rendered, will be directed to the respective merchant of the item / service.
