The Amerigo Vespucci's world tour is not only a unified expression of the values of the entire nation but also a showcase of Italian excellence and supply chains, a driving force for the economy and the spread of Italian culture.

The "Amerigo Vespucci World Tour - Villaggio Italia" initiative, supported by Italian Government Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto, combines the traditional training activities of the Navy's Officer Cadets on the School Ship with the promotion of Made in Italy excellence in the main ports reached through the Villaggio Italia.

Our Experience

Tickets have been fully redeemed. For those who managed to snag tickets, here are more pictures and additional tips for your visit!

We boarded the ship on 24 Oct 2024 as part of an introductory tour. Through the experience, you will get to explore the Main Deck and Upper Deck of the ship, and get a feel of how it's like setting sail. It's cool to be able to closely look at the different structures that form the ship. We were informed that the pillars supporting the ship goes up to 60kg!

It is really a heritage ship with the interiors carefully preserved and you will feel like traveling back in time with the timeless designs (eg: bells, doors). For those with kids or elderly, do wear proper shoes and to watch your footing as the stairs are really steep and the ship does "float up and down" with the waves.

Also note that while light snacks are sold at the Italian Village (pizza and gelato). there ain't much food choices available.

The nearest MRT station is Marina South Pier and after exiting the station, would need to walk 500m before reaching the Cruise Centre. Participants needs to bring their NRIC for verification!

We hope this helps!
