ArtScience Museum Presents ‘The World of Studio Ghibli’ Exhibition this October

Dive into the world of 11 famous Ghibli films with 16 large-scale interactive theatrical sets from various iconic Ghibli films across the studio’s history!

ArtScience Museum will be presenting The World of Studio Ghibli, from 4 Oct 2024 to 2 Feb 2025. This will be Studio Ghibli’s first ever showcase in Singapore and also one of the largest editions to date. The World of Studio Ghibli was first presented in Japan back in 2013, and moved on to South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Bangkok, with each edition slightly different from the last.

Come be part of the beloved stories of critically-acclaimed animation movies such as Spirited AwayPrincess Mononoke, and My Neighbor TotoroThe Singapore edition will also feature new additions from Studio Ghibli’s latest film The Boy and the Heron.

One of the Largest Edition

The World of Studio Ghibli at the ArtScience Museum is one of the largest editions to date – spanning 2,400 square metres, across 11 galleries, featuring the world of 11 famous Ghibli films. 

Featuring 16 large-scale interactive theatrical sets from various iconic Ghibli films, families and fans will get to meet their favourite characters and immerse themselves into various Ghibli films - waiting in the rain with Totoro, entering the Howl's Moving Castle or hopping on a train ride with No-Face. 

You will also get to explore Studio Ghibli’s creative processes, and grab yourself official Studio Ghibli merchandise at the retail store that have been designed specially for this exhibition in Singapore.

About Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli was founded in 1985 by animated film directors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki, and has produced twenty-four feature-length films.  Most Studio Ghibli films ranked number one at the box office in Japan in the year in which they were released.  The Studio’s Spirited Away (2001), Howl's Moving Castle (2004) and Princess Mononoke (1997) are among Japan’s top 10 grossing films.

Ticketing 

Ticket sales to The World of Studio Ghibli will kick off on 29 July, 10 am to 2 Aug 2024. Sands Lifestyle Members are entitled to an exclusive five-day pre-sale where there will be exclusive deals and discounts available at Marina Bay Sands box offices and their webpage here.

General sales to The World of Studio Ghibli will be available on Klook or all Marina Bay Sands box offices.

Peak (Fri - Sun)

  • Singapore Residents: Adult: S$39 / Concession: S$34 
  • Tourists: Adult: S$49 / Concession: S$44

Off Peak (Mon – Thurs)

  • Singapore Residents: Adult: S$29 / Concession: S$24
