ArtsEverywhere@CDC: Bringing the Arts Closer to Singaporeans

Singapore’s heartlands are set to become even more vibrant with the expansion of ArtsEverywhere@CDC. From April 2025 to March 2026, residents can enjoy double the number of performances and three times more artists and arts groups, making the arts more accessible than ever. A collaboration between the National Arts Council (NAC), the five Community Development Councils (CDCs), and the People’s Association (PA), this initiative aims to enrich community life, foster inclusivity, and showcase local talent.

An Exciting Line-Up of Performances & Activities

Over the course of the year, there will be more than 200 arts performances and activities featuring over 80 artists and arts groups. Residents can look forward to larger-scale performances by renowned arts groups such as: Paper Monkey Theatre (puppetry), O School (hip-hop dance), The Purple Symphony (inclusive performances), and The TENG Company (multi-cultural music for wellbeing).

Each performance will also feature interactive activities that invite audiences to engage with the arts in a hands-on way.

Street Performers Bring Art to Everyday Spaces

Complementing these larger performances will be an expanded street performance initiative. Organised by PA’s Community Arts and Culture Clubs (CACCs), these grassroots performances will take place in everyday community spaces, such as:

  • Outside MRT stations
  • Hawker centres and food courts
  • Town squares and local parks

Residents can enjoy these performances on a fixed day each month, fostering a regular and familiar arts experience within their neighborhoods.

New Locations to Experience ArtsEverywhere@CDC

In addition to existing venues such as neighbourhood malls, ArtsEverywhere@CDC will now extend to even more heartland spaces. Newly added locations include: Somme Park, Jurong Central, Canberra Park, and Anchorvale Village.

These spaces will be transformed into pop-up arts and culture showcases, making it easier for residents to participate in arts and cultural activities.

A Special Line-Up for SG60 Celebrations

As Singapore celebrates its 60th anniversary, ArtsEverywhere@CDC will feature a special line-up of performances that reflect the country’s multicultural heritage and shared values. These performances will bring communities together and celebrate Singapore’s rich artistic diversity.
