Children’s Festival 2023: Nature’s Imaginarium at Gardens by the Bay

Children's Festival returns in 2023 at the Gardens by the Bay with a nature-inspired playground, outdoor movie screening, family-friendly programmes and more!

The annual Children's Festival is back! In this year's edition, families can follow Calvin the caterpillar as he spends his June holidays visiting his friends at Gardens by the Bay!

Join Calvin on a fun day out in Nature’s Imaginarium at the SuperTree Grove! Follow Calvin on his quest to find his lost shoes and earn a reward, customise your own souvenirs at the free activities, or simply spend the day playing with and getting to know Calvin’s friends who live in the Gardens. And as the sun sets, lay your picnic mat to enjoy an outdoor movie screening among the Supertrees!

Each weekend of Children’s Festival: Nature’s Imaginarium will also follow a specific theme, with the first being Family Weekend (June 10 and 11), followed by Pets Weekend (June 17 and 18) and finally Nature Weekend (June 24 and 25) to round up Children’s Festival.

Discover a Nature Inspired Playground

Experience the wondrous nature of Gardens by the Bay as you encounter larger-than-life versions of flora and fauna that can be found in the Gardens! Get up 'close' and discover fun facts about them through play.

Take Part in the Trail Activity and Redeem a Reward

Help Calvin the caterpillar find his missing shoes! Embark on a quest at the Supertree Grove to obtain ‘shoe’ stamps with secret codes to reveal his favourite phrase and redeem an exclusive Children’s Festival 2023 sticker sheet!

Enjoy Crafts and Games

Get creative with fun craft activities and allow your imagination to run wild! Arrange leaves to form your favourite creatures in Leaf Art, draw and create a cute Shrink Art keychain, or colour a handheld fan to beat the heat in Fan Art! 

Ride on the Caterpillar Train Ride

Calvin the Caterpillar is here to introduce you to his friends at the Gardens! Ride on the first-ever caterpillar train ride at Gardens by the Bay—weave around Supertree Grove and learn about the flora and fauna via a guide tailored just for kids!

Enjoy Live Entertainment

Gather the kids round the stage at Supertree Grove Lawn to soak in the atmosphere and be entertained with engaging and lively acts and performances every day of the Festival!

Sit Back and Enjoy the Outdoor Movie Screening

Relax and bond as a family with an exciting line-up of light-hearted and educational kids-friendly programmes and movies amid the Supertrees! Expect different kids-friendly programmes and movies every day throughout the festival at 6 pm (timing to be confirmed)!

Catch MOLLY, NLB's Mobile Library, at the Children’s Festival this June! Packed with all-time favourite book titles for not just the little ones but everyone in the family! Join NLB's volunteer storytellers onboard MOLLY as they share interesting and fun tales for children aged 4 to 6 years old!

Enjoy a Family Carnival

Dates: 10 & 11 Jun, 10 am - 7 pm

A line-up of fun-filled National Family Week activities awaits the families at the Family Carnival as part of the National Family Week! Have a picnic and have a blast on the life-sized Becky Bunny Bouncy playground! Active Parents by SportSG will also be bringing its parent and child programmes to the scene!

Step into the World of Bluey

Step into the world of Bluey, a global hit animation, in an immersive and engaging experience at Gardens by the Bay Children’s Festival! Filled with arts and crafts sessions, special mascot appearances and an unforgettable live stage experience, it will be an amazing day with your family and friends!

SAFRA Family Day Out

Kindsville 

Dates: 18 Jun, 10 am - 7 pm

Get ready for a day of family fun and kindness at Kindsville @ Children's Festival 2023! Singa and the Kindness Cubbies are excited to invite you and your family to join them in dancing, learning, and experiencing the magic of kindness together. Take part in the Kindsville Treasure Hunt and many other exciting kindness-themed activities, such as making Thank You cards, and win exclusive prizes from Kindsville!

Children’s Festival Nature Hunt

Dates: 25 Jun, 10 am - 5.30 pm

Explore Gardens by the Bay and hunt for some special plant species listed in the scavenger hunt card. From 10am to 5.30pm on 25th June, collect your quest card at the Supertree Grove Lawn and start searching away! Capture a photo of all the specified plants in your card, show them to the crew and redeem an exclusive Little Explorer badge!
