What’s on the Event

Wild Day Out is the ultimate destination for pet parents and their fur babies. With a range of dog-friendly activities, it’s a paradise for canine lovers. No dogs? No worries, everyone is invited!

Bring your family into enrichment workshops and a fun scavenger hunt with great prizes, including access to Bird Paradise’s Backstage Pass: Avian Healthcare. Families can also relax at the dog play arena or explore eco-friendly finds at the Wild Day Out Marketplace.

If you are wondering about what to do with your beloved pets, here is a list of exciting activities to enjoy with your doggies:

• Pupstacle Course

Challenge your dog's agility and obedience in a fun and dynamic dog obstacle course — featuring tunnels, jumps, weave poles, and balance beams.

• The Paw-sitivity Wall 

An interactive and uplifting activity designed to spread positivity and joy. Participants with their dogs can write positive messages, draw pictures, or share inspiring quotes on a designated wall space.

• Paw Painting - Vincent Van Paw

Unleash your pet's inner artist! In this fun and creative activity, pets use their paws to create unique artwork on canvases. Safe, non-toxic paints are used to ensure their well-being.

• Paws & Chats – Pet Talks by Mandai Experts (Topic: Enrichment)

In this pet talk by a Mandai expert, learn about what enrichment is for animals, why your pets need to receive enrichment and how you can provide this consistently.

• Paws & Chats – Pet Talks by Mandai Experts (Topic: Training)

In this pet talk by a Mandai expert, hear about science-backed training methods, why it is beneficial to pawrents and their pets, and how to apply it to their daily life.

• Chained Dog Awareness – Furry Fundraiser

In 2015, Chained Dog Awareness Singapore was started. The non-profit organisation was founded to raise awareness of the plight of the many dogs chained across Singapore. 

Through their work that includes increasing awareness through multi-faceted education strategies, rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming, they advocate for 30 to 40 chained dogs yearly. Funds raised will go to supporting their efforts. 

This activity is only available on 7 September.

Family-Friendly Fun Activities

Celebrate family time with a series of engaging activities that promise endless fun and the chance to bond like never before! Most of the activities are free unless stated otherwise. Check out the list and make sure not to miss any of these!

• Wild Day Out Marketplace

Find something special and support eco-friendly choices at the marketplace where you can find sustainable lifestyle products, unique pet products, and artisanal goods including handcrafted jewelry and delectable baked treats. The marketplace will take place at the entrance registration area.

• Wild Day Out Scavenger Hunt

Engage in an interactive scavenger hunt around Mandai Wildlife West, where you will search for specific items or complete tasks based on a list of clues. This activity promotes teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a sense of adventure. It is such great fun for the family! 

No prior registration required. Once the hunt is completed successfully, each participating family will have a chance at the sure-win lucky draw! Prizes include access to the Backstage Pass: Avian Healthcare, Bird Paradise admission tickets, Mandai retail vouchers, Old Chang Kee vouchers and Bird Paradise pins.

• Book Thrift

Visit the book thrift shop to exchange your old books for a wide selection of gently used ones, all for free! Uncover hidden literary gems and breathe new life into stories by passing them on.

• Terrarium Making Workshop

Create your own miniature garden in a glass container! Learn to layer soil, sand, and pebbles, and arrange plants and decorative items to build a unique, self-sustaining ecosystem. This activity cost $25 per pax.

• Soft-toy Cleaning Workshop

Learn to acquire basic “soft toy grooming” techniques and tips from the expert soft toy doctors at Soft Toy Hospital. They provide all the necessary tools and materials and you will get to bring home a Soft Toy Cleaning Kit after the workshop! 

The activity is priced at $40 for public or $32 (Friends of Wildlife Plus and Friends of Wildlife Membership) per pax.

• Discover Nature’s Colours Through Loose Parts Play

Nature offers a variety of sensorial experiences for children to explore. There are many opportunities for young children to explore the colourful world around them using their senses, here in Mandai Wildlife West. Join the interactive parent-child session to learn how you might engage your child in wildlife-inspired activities to encourage nature-based outdoor play. 

*This parent-child workshop is recommended for parents with children aged 4 to 6 years old.

• DIY Animal Keychain Workshop

Get creative and put together your very own customised keychain with over 40 animal charms that you can choose from! You will need to pay $10 per keychain set.

• Espresso Elegance: Coffee Scrub Workshop

Immerse yourself in a sensory experience that blends the rich aromas of freshly brewed coffee with the art of natural skincare. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to craft your own luxurious coffee beauty scrubs, harnessing the invigorating properties of coffee grounds to exfoliate and rejuvenate your skin. 

This activity is priced at $30 per pax.

• Kids Pizza Making Workshop by COLLIN’S®

For $52.32, learn to make your own 10” Pizza at COLLIN’S®. Parents are welcome to join the participant in preparing your own pizza together — Another fun and engaging activity for family bonding!

• Story-Telling Workshop by A&W

Join a storytelling session with local author Maureen Yeo, for her fourth book, Classroom Critters: Birds Let Loose!
