In commemoration of Total Defence Day 2022, Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) has curated a line-up of exhibits, showcase and programmes to look back at the past incidents and challenges and explore how Singaporeans overcome them through each of the six pillars of Total Defence.

Be dazzled by Instagram worthy tote-bag installations, including tote-bag lanterns, showcasing the connections between Total Defence and the tote making process. Discover how the varied materials of thread and fabric relate to the different aspects of Singapore's defence.

Defence Through the Ages Guided Tour will take you on a journey through some of the key historical events that have shaped our defence strategy through the years and explores how you can play a part in keeping Singapore safe and secure.
When It Was Syonan-To Dramatised Tour

This unique, interactive dramatised tour allows visitors to immerse into life during the Japanese Occupation.
It is 1942 and Singapore has fallen to the Japanese. Singapore is renamed Syonan-to, meaning "Light of the South Island" and included as part of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. Lives are plunged into chaos and you must beat the odds to survive. You meet Beng Huat, a fellow survivor who asks for your help to locate his missing sister and other items to survive. Would you be able to help Beng Huat out?

Azza (PG)

Azza is a heart-wrenching story based on a true-life account of an 11 year old girl who faces a struggling period in her life, despite her young age.
Confronted with the shock of her dearest father plotting a terrorist attack, Azza is thrown into confusion and tremendous stress. She has to fight the dilemma of exposing her father in the police investigations, alongside the aftermath when her mother attempts suicide and tries to kill the entire family.
The power of kinship is accentuated as Azza draws strength from within and works towards bringing her mother back from the brink of losing hope in life.
Missed Calls

In Missed Calls, we follow Jeanine, a JC1 student who is stuck at home with her estranged mother, Lisa, during the Circuit Breaker period in Singapore.
After losing her grandfather to COVID-19 over a month ago, she is overwhelmed with grief and unable to move on. When she receives a notification about a missed call from 'Ah Gong' - her late grandfather, she realises that she can communicate with him days before his passing.
Clutching onto the possibility of altering the past, she tries her best to get Ah Gong to stay home.
Reunion
