What’s in The Pagoda Odyssey
Inside the Pagoda Odyssey exhibition you can look around 84 models pagodas crafted from teakwood. Exquisitely detailed, the models are based on real structures of pagoda in China which embody the diversity of iconic pagodas from different regions and historical periods. Some have been significantly modified, extensively restored, and even no longer exist today!
The crafted models range from 30 centimetres to over 2 metres in height, some even towing up to 3 metres tall, making it more than twice little ones’ height.
By the end of the exhibition, the Pagoda Odyssey is complemented by Towers of Faith, a photography display of religious landmarks in Singapore from Buddhist pagodas, Daoist pavilions, and Islamic minarets to Hindu gopurams and Anglican cathedrals.
