EduFun Online Workshop

Time: Multiple timings; each class runs for 90 minutes from 8am to 4.30pm daily

Register your child for our online workshops this June school holidays to keep them a step ahead in class!
The 1.5hr workshops will be conducted weekly via Zoom, and will cover topics such as Heuristic Science, Heuristic Mathematics, English as well as Creative Writing in English.

Amazon Cyber Robotics Challenge

Learn to code and develop computational thinking skills with the help of the CoderZ learning tool – a friendly and engaging learning tool that makes robotics and programming accessible to everyone. Open to primary and secondary school students aged 9 to 16 years old, the Amazon Cyber Robotics Challenge consists of two parts:
1. Online Onboarding Introductory Programme
Discover the basics of coding and its real-world application in our online onboarding introductory workshops happening in June and July. Be sure to register via this link.
2. Coder Z Coding Challenge
After the Onboarding Introductory Programme, students who are keen to put their acquired computing knowledge to the test may proceed to sign up for the CoderZ Coding Challenge – an online competition with Primary (9 to 12 years old) and Secondary Categories (13 to 16 years old). The competition will be held in September.

World of Spectra

Much of our understanding of the world originates from investigating visible light. In this workshop, you get to assemble your own laser-cut spectroscope and use it to explore the surprising variety in the composition of light from common sources. This workshop aims to cultivate an interest in using basic physical phenomena as tools for scientific exploration.

Embark on an immersive adventure to experience the life-saving superpowers and extraordinary bravery of some of the world’s most remarkable dogs. Screening at the Omni-Theatre, Superpower Dogs follows the adventure of six working dogs and their human partners as they brave through earthquakes and avalanches, protect endangered species such as rhinos and elephants, and transform the lives of people with special needs.

Tailored to meet the MOE Science Syllabus, the Let’s Explore Kits are designed for primary school students to explore science in a fun way and acquire new scientific skills to study the world around them. From learning about electricity and circuits to discovering the nature of air, forces and shadow, these experimental Kits adopt an inquiry-based approach to learning science, which is central to the framework of the science curriculum in Singapore.

To continue sparking curiosity, wonder and passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.), SCS’s dedicated team of Science Educators have curated the Science at Home series – a stay-home series offering a myriad of online resources across different formats and topics, specially curated for all age groups!
From conducting simple science experiments, reading interesting blog articles about the viral Dalgona Coffee or the importance of social distancing, to learning about simple science concepts using the Ready Steady Science material, there is no lack of edutainment for the young and young at heart!

I Am A Young Scientist Badge

The evergreen I Am A Young Scientist Badge is now available online!
Together with your child, explore over ten Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) topics through myriad of self-directed activities. Plus, work on various hands-on experiments and activities from popular cards such as I Am A Young Zoologist, I Am A Young Botanist, I Am A Young Food Scientist, I Am A Young Geologist and many more on our online portal. Do check out our supplementary Ready, Steady, Science! materials that complement the I Am A Young Scientist activities.
Upon completion, you will receive a certificate and a Young Scientist Badge.
Note:
In line with Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) and government guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19, SCS and its Group of Attractions will only operate Fridays to Sundays, 2pm to 5pm, till 13 June 2021. SCS and its Group of Attractions will be accepting no more than two persons per group.
