Back again for their 3rd edition and after the Covid-19 pandemic, Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) is set to launch their signature fundraising event Jazz For Dogs 2023. Jazz For Dogs saw a crowd of more than 3000 supporters and 500 paw friends gathering at the Singapore Botanic Gardens in 2019. Through the genre of jazz, Jazz For Dogs hopes to reach out to the masses and raise awareness for stray dogs.
Prepare to be transported to a realm of musical enchantment with your dogs as you indulge in the velvety smooth vocals of the extraordinary lineup including Carol Gomez, Namie Rasman, Richard Jackson, Sinclair Ang and Siti Nur Iman. Indulge in other local-based performances from The Raindogs, The Alina Ramirez Trio and Rachma Lim Quartet while soaking up the beautiful natural scenery all around!
About Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD)
ASD was established in December 2000 as a non-profit organisation with the mission to improve the welfare of stray and abandoned dogs in Singapore. They fulfil this through the rescuing and rehoming of such dogs, advocating sterilisation as a means of controlling the stray dog population, promoting responsible pet ownership, and highlighting the virtues of Singapore’s local cross breed dogs aka Singapore Specials. As of end 2022, ASD has successfully rehomed 2951 dogs and sterilised 668 dogs under the Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage (TNRM) programme.
ASD was officially registered with the Registry of Societies in 2002 and was granted Charity status in May 2015. Today, ASD is one of the most established dog welfare groups in Singapore with 450 registered members and a Facebook following of more than 46,000.
