AidilFEASTri Raya Festival 2024 will be held at the Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) from 27 to 28 April 2024 for the first time!
Centred around the theme of food, this year’s iteration will serve up a buffet of programmes, activities and displays highlighting the culinary traditions and intangible cultural heritage practices related to Hari Raya.
Programme highlights include larger-than-life food replicas of iconic Hari Raya dishes such as mutton biryani, sayur lodeh, and assorted kuih; a cooking demonstration with MasterChef Singapore finalist Chef Ilya Nur Fadhly; and a Teh Tarik-making workshop by Tarik.SG!

Learn about the cultural significance of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and capture quirky photos with the larger-than-life food replicas of mutton biryani, sayur lodeh, and assorted kuih at the IHC Lobby.
Delectable Designs: Henna Art & Fuse Beads Keychain Making with Hennaflair and Senikraf

Experience henna art, make your own fuse beads keychain and learn about the various motifs inspired by nature from both cultures! Discover the rich cultural significance of motifs with the curated selection inspired by delectable foods, luscious fruits, and enchanting florals, each telling a story steeped in heritage and symbolism.

Take a break from the buffet of activities with a generous spread of Hari Raya snacks, goodies and beverages from both cultures.
Cultural Rhythms: Rentak x Raya with SMU Rentak
Date: 27 & 28 Apr 2024, 10.30 am - 11 am and 4.30 pm - 5.15 pm
Groove to the rhythm of culture with our series of performances entitled ‘Cultural Rhythms’!
Kicking off with SMU Rentak's performance of original songs and nostalgic Raya songs for the audience, with a variety of traditional instruments that you might not have seen or even heard of before! Visitors can also expect to be part of the performance during the special interactive segment.
There will be performances from different dance and music groups at other timings too.
Tales from the Nusantara: My Mother’s Kitchen with Shahril Samri from Pantunism
Date: 27 Apr 2024, 11 am - 12.30 pm
Fees: $16 (parent-child pair), $8 (additional child)
Be transported into the rich tapestry of Nusantara through storytelling of folklore, and gain insights into the cultural significance of Hari Raya. In addition to storytelling, this programme will feature a gallery tour and a craft activity.
Recommended for ages 4 years and above.
