As the Mid-Autumn Festival draws near, join Jurong Lake Gardens in celebrating the festivities at Lights by The Lake 2023!

Come admire the captivating lantern displays hand-crafted by skilled artisans from China and participate in fun activities at the Jurong Lake Gardens. As part of Light by The Lake 2023, there will be a series of performances by talented homegrown artists every Friday and Saturday, from 16 Sep to 1 Oct 2023, with curated engaging programmes and activities on weekdays.
*Please note that Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden is currently closed and under redevelopment. There is no access to Lakeside Garden via Chinese Garden MRT. The nearest MRT will be Lakeside MRT station.
Lantern Displays

Wildlife Odessey
Embark on a Wildlife Odyssey through a lantern display that showcases diverse habitats. Be transported from the mysterious depths of the Underwater World to the vast African Savannah, then to the frozen landscapes of the Ice World and finally, to the lush Southeast Asian Rainforest. This mesmerising display unites the wonders of nature in a luminous celebration of our planet's incredible diversity, fostering appreciation for the intricate tapestry of life across Earth's remarkable ecosystems.
Echoes of the Lion City
Echoes of the Lion City takes you on a captivating lantern-lit journey through Singapore’s rich history and evolution. Witness the city’s transformation across different eras, from its humble beginnings to a City in Nature. Immerse yourself in the nostalgia of each era, depicted through lantern displays that capture the essence of Singapore’s past, present and future, paying homage to Singapore’s hope and enduring spirit.

Children and youth aged 9 to 14, join ActiveSG Canoe Academy to learn paddling skills, make friends, and develop life skills in a positive, safe, and fun environment. This is a free event and pre-registration is not required, and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Getting to Light by the Lake 2023
- Nearest MRT Station: Lakeside MRT Station
Alight at Lakeside MRT Station and exit at the south entrance of the station. Follow the directional signs to Jurong Lake Gardens
- Bus Service: 154 & 246
Alight at Bus Stop 21649 (Chinese Garden) or Bus Stop 21651 (Opp Chinese Garden). You may board bus 154 across the road from Lakeside MRT Station and alight at the second stop.
