Decathlon Singapore’s newest and sixth experience store will be opening at the recently launched Punggol Northshore Plaza on 29 October 2021.
Furthering its mission to make sports accessible to the many, Decathlon’s upcoming outlet at Northshore Plaza also marks the first Decathlon experience store in Northern Singapore. The brand’s second duplex store (the first being Decathlon Centrepoint) will be located on levels one and two of Northshore Plaza I, spanning 4,200 square metres, boasting 19 test and innovation zones, first ever Instagrammable mural and more.
Here are some of the exciting new features, some of which are unique to this store in Singapore that you and the family can look forward to:
1. Over 5,000 Products Across 60 Sports
Surrounded by the Punggol Park Connector, the Punggol community has even more reason to kickstart their sport journey with Decathlon. From basketball to yoga and even horse-riding, there is something for sports lovers at every level of experience.
2. Experiential Test Zones
True to Decathlon Singapore’s customer-centric approach and dedication to customer satisfaction, Decathlon innovations will be put to the test in experiential test zones peppered throughout the store. Sports lovers are encouraged to try out the wide range of sports equipment before making a purchase, so that they can shop confidently.
3. [NEW] First Ever In-Store Mural
Adding on to the vibrancy of the store will also be Decathlon’s first ever in-store mural. In collaboration with Mural Lingo, the Instagrammable sporty and eco-friendly themed wall will be custom-painted for the Decathlon Northshore store.
4. [NEW] Active Health Discovery Zone
Decathlon's newest store will also include Sport Singapore’s Active Health Discovery Zone that boasts a range of sport and exercise science backed offerings, for example, interactive self-assessment kiosks and regular workshops organised by accredited Active Health coaches. Residents and young families can look forward to embarking on a self-discovery journey with curated programmes and tips on how to proactively own their health and wellness.
5. [NEW] Sustainability Initiatives
Playing its part as a responsible brand, Decathlon Singapore has also been actively taking steps to reduce its carbon footprint with its green initiatives.
First-Ever In-Store Running Track
In partnership with Sport Singapore and Dow, Decathlon Northshore will feature its first-ever running track made entirely of recycled shoes.
Shoe Donation & Electronic Waste Bins
Customers can now give their old shoes a new lease on life as recycled infrastructure materials and dispose of electronic waste appropriately in-store.
First-Ever Cycle To Charge Your Mobile Zone
Customers needing a quick phone battery boost can also clock in some spins when they charge their mobile devices at this Cycle To Charge Your Mobile Zone.
Other Sustainability Actions
- Switch to using fully biodegradable materials for its fleece products
- Changing 100% of its plastic poly mailers used for online orders to Paptic, a wood-based material with a minimum of 80% of raw materials from renewable sources.
