In line with International Coastal Cleanup Singapore’s vision for a bluer, healthier ocean, PAssion Wave is launching its annual ‘Rent-a Craft, Pay-by-Trash’ campaign this September! Through this campaign, you can enjoy a 2-hr rental of a kayak or Stand-up Paddle (SUP) by helping to clean up the wateways!
When and Where?
This campaign is only valid every Wed to Fri in September. There are 2 slots available each day at 9 am - 11 am and 2 pm - 4 pm at all 6 PAssion Wave outlets. Slots are open every Monday, and you can head over to http://www.go.gov.sg/paybytrash2021 to register for the outlet you are interested in.

Certification Required For Sea Outlets
Those who wish to take part in the campaign at the Sea outlets will require a min. 1 star Kayak or relevant SUP certification (only SUP rental is available at East Coast Outlet). Those without certification may only rent at the reservoir outlets.
The sea outlets are namely at Sembawang, Pasir Ris, and East Coast, while the reservoir outlets are namely at Jurong Lake Gardens, Marina Bay, and Bedok Reservoir.
Is It Really Free? Do I Need To Bring Anything To Pick The Rubbish?
Rental of kayak equipment (kayak, PFD, paddle) are complimentary under this campaign. However, fees for locker and spray cover applies if required for the rental. And there may be a min. amount of rubbish to collect, normally 1 pail, but do check with the staff at the outlet.
You don't have to bring anything, equipment such as pails, tongs and gloves will be provided to help you with the clean-up!

Head over to http://www.go.gov.sg/paybytrash2021 to register for the outlet you are interested in. Note that slots are limited and open every Monday for the week.
