Suntec Singapore’s Farm-to-People Festival, Sprout, is back for a 2nd year running with an exciting line-up of activities across 6 zones - BUY, EAT, COOK, GROW, PLAY and LEARN - including tea-making and home-gardening workshops, as well as newly-introduced cooking masterclasses led by Michelin-star chefs.
Featuring over 90 new and familiar brands/names in Singapore’s sustainable agriculture community and dining scene (ranging from farmers and growers, to urban farming technology, specialty food and artisanal brands, as well as home-grown food and beverage establishments), there’s certainly something for everyone here at Singapore’s largest farmers’ market in the city.
So whether you are an urban farmer, a home cook, or simply a foodie at heart, it’s time to gather your like-minded kakis and head down to Sprout 2019! Definitely an event that’s not to be missed!

1. BUY – Fresh produce, specialty food, and artisanal products

Get your hands on the freshest produce and products direct from growers, producers and artisans.
Pick out the freshest vegetable and fruit produce from brands, such as Edible Garden City, Kok Fah Technology Farm, Pacific Agro Farm, and Quan Fa Organic Farm.

Satisfy your taste buds and support local eateries by savouring delectable delights, such as Crispy Pork Crackling Buns and Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Cookies from Plentyfull’s, and try out Northern Indian treats including Paneer Tikka, Tandoori Chicken and fresh Naan Breads from Riverwalk Tandoor.
Looking for a light bite? Yummy Takoyaki’s halal-certified takoyaki (Japanese wheat flour-based ball snacks) is a good bet.
If you prefer something heartier, then Don8uri’s signature Beef Donburi, Foie Gras and Unagi Donburi will be worth checking out.
And if you’re considering going meat-free for the day, look no further - meatless food options, such as The Beyond Burger and Beyond Sausage (by Glife Technologies) will be served at the festival too.

3. COOK – Cooking demonstrations by culinary superstars

Visitors can look forward to a showcase of culinary talent by the likes of Disciples Escoffier Young Talent World Champion 2018, Chef Koh Han Jie from Elfuego’s by Collin’s, as well as culinary artist and founder of Preparazzi Gourmet Catering Jeremy Nguee. Watch these expert chefs whip up a culinary storm with local produce, and pick up some new cooking techniques and methods. And the best part? Getting a chance to taste all those amazing dishes, of course!
4. GROW – For urban farming newbies and enthusiasts

5. PLAY – Fun and games for little ones

Worried about the little ones getting bored at the event? Fret not!
A designated children’s area, with an array of educational and interactive activities, has been carved out to keep the kids stimulated and occupied so your LOs can also look forward to having some fun of their own too!
6. LEARN – Hands-on workshops and masterclasses (NEW!)

Attend hands-on workshops to learn all about tea-making, gardening and sustainable food.
And for those who love to cook, Sprout’s first-ever cooking masterclasses led by Lush Epicurean’s Chef Eric Low, as well as Chefs Emmanuel Stroobant and Han Li Guang of one Michelin-star restaurants, Saint Pierre and Labyrinth respectively. Get to catch the chefs in action and be taught new ways to cook with local produce.
Sprout’s cooking masterclasses and workshops are ticketed sessions. Masterclasses are priced at $95 or $115 for two pax, and are conducted with groups of 16 participants. Workshops organised by Carbon InQ are priced at $15 per pax, while tea-making workshops by Edible Garden City and Pétale Tea are priced at $45 and $39 per pax respectively.
