The Stories to Tell

Our Tampines Hub partners with Singapore’s first professional theatre company, ACTS 3 Theatrics, to bring beloved classics and legendary tales alive and engage young audiences.

Starting 14 September, embark on a new storytelling adventure every Saturday! Immerse yourself in captivating tales and journey into a world shaped by young imaginations. Make sure to mark these dates on your calendar:

The Moon Fairy

Date: Saturday, 14 September 2024, 6 pm
Venue: OTH Wellness Garden, 5th Floor (via Lift Lobby F), Our Tampines Hub

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, ACT 3 Theatrics brings to life the legendary tale of the moon fairy Chang Er. Enjoy a heartwarming story where Chang Er, content in her village, meets the Great Archer Ho Yee. As Ho Yee settles in to teach archery, an envious student named Fong Mong devises a sinister plan, forcing Chang Er to flee to the heavens. Join us to discover the thrilling continuation of her story!

Emperor and the Nightingale

Date: Saturday, 28 September 2024, 6 pm
Venue: OTH Wellness Garden, 5th Floor (via Lift Lobby F), Our Tampines Hub

Looking for a perfect place to celebrate Children’s Day with your little one? Come to Our Tampines Hub and discover what happens when an Emperor, captivated by the enchanting song of the Nightingale, decides to trap a bird so only he can enjoy its melody. When the Nightingale stops singing, the Emperor is filled with sorrow. Will the bird sing again? Can the Emperor find happiness once more?

The Girl, Grandpa & Ox

Date: Saturday, 12 October 2024, 6 pm
Venue: OTH Wellness Garden, 5th Floor (via Lift Lobby F), Our Tampines Hub

Who knew a trip to the market could be both confusing and hilarious? Join a granddaughter and her Grandpa as they embark on a journey to sell their ox at a distant market. Along the way, they encounter quirky strangers who offer contradictory advice on how to get there. Will they find their way to the market safely despite the mix-ups?

The Boy and the River Serpent

Date: Saturday, 26 October 2024, 6 pm
Venue: OTH Wellness Garden, 5th Floor (via Lift Lobby F), Our Tampines Hub

Celebrate Deepavali with the enchanting tale of 'The Boy and the River Serpent.’ Krish, a flute-playing, butter-eating boy lives in a peaceful village of fishermen, cattle herders, and joyful children. One day, a giant Serpent appears in the nearby river and demands to be fed with cattle from the village. The terrified villagers seem to have no way to stop the monster, until Krish steps forward to tame the Serpent. Will he succeed and save the village?
