We are almost at the mid-year mark of 2023 and the family fun is still happening fast and furious with lots of new activities, venues and promotions happening each week!

This week, we focus on the new experiences happening and the new venues opening - perhaps you can be the first to leave your family fun mark in these places!

1. A New Playground - Kidztropic Opens at The Poiz Centre

Venue: 51 Upper Serangoon Rd, #03-12/13 Poiz Centre, Singapore 347697
Operating Hours: Mon to Fri: 12pm to 7pm | Sat/Sun/Public Holiday: 10am to 8pm

Kidztropic provides fun and educational learning for kids (aged 0 to 12 years) through purposeful play, as well as encourages family bonding through its various programmes and activities. Kidztropic offers different types of play for kids of varying ages, abilities and interests with slides, trampolines, ball pit, climbing structures and much more!

 

2. Go On A Cable Car Pokemon Experience

Venue: Singapore Cable Car
Dates: 1 May - 30 Sep 2023
Admission: $30 (adults), $25 (children)

An eye-catching line of 67 Poké Ball cabins soaring 100 metres above sea level - that's what families can expect as part of Singapore Cable Car's 50th Anniversary celebrations! The exteriors of the cable car cabins will be wrapped in the recognisable red and white colours of Poké Balls, and the interior decorated with five different interior designs, each themed around first-generation Pokémon like Pikachu and Eevee, as well as SprigatitoFuecoco, and Quaxly from the latest Pokémon video games.

3. Bird Paradise Opens 8 May 2023

Venue: 20 Mandai Lake Road, 729825.
Opening Hours9am to 6pm, Daily
Admission: from $20 (full price admission), soft opening promotion till 26 May 2023

Head down to Bird Paradise when it soft-launches on 8 May 2023 and walk through Singapore new bird park and get a glimpse of how the birds and their carers are settling into their new home. Head on down to experience 10 areas in the park and to be one of the first to visit too! 

There will even be 5 play areas for families to play and have fun across Bird paradise and the non-ticketed Mandai Wildlife West!

4. Join Animal & Us for a Pets Day Out

 

Dates: 6 May 2023
Fees: $35 (sign-up here)

Animals and Us Academy is back at NParks' Pets' Day Out happening on 6 May 2023! Head down to Parkland Green at East Coast Park and join the "Vet Clinic" Tour where parents and children will get to explore what goes on behind the scenes in a veterinary clinic and learn about the responsibilities of being a pet owner! 

  • Discover what vets do behind the scenes in a vet clinic
  • Understand the responsibilities of being a pet owner
  • Learn about preventative treatment, parasite prevention and healthcare of pets
  • Recognise basic behaviour of common pet species

This interactive and hands-on programme will be conducted by veterinarians and animal educators, and aims to promote connection and empathy for the animal world. Take part as a family and deepen your understanding of animals together!

5. Join Us at the Mummy Meet-up on 9 May 2023

Venue: 396 Joo Chiat Place, #02-03, Singapore 428079
Dates: 9 May 2023, 3 pm - 5 pm
Admission: $10 (U.P. $50)

Join us at our Mummy Meet-up at Little Forest, a creative enrichment space for children on 9 May 2023! BYKidO's Mummy Meet-up is for mummies to meet fellow mummies on a similar parenting journey and to give you the space to share, learn and support each other. Conducted in a casual setting, parents will also enjoy a discount as part of our arrangement with our venue partner. 

Our next meet up on 9 May is recommended for mummies with kids aged between 6 - 12 months old and will be conducted at Little Forest. At Little Forest, they focus on the creative learning process through artistic activities like dance, drama, music, sports and culinary classes based on the Constructivism theory. They believe that children are capable of being creative, some may not have discovered their creative potential but with guidance from our Creative Educators, their potential can be limitless.

6. EXTRA - Rink @ Punggol East

Venue: 50 Punggol E, Container Park, Singapore 828826
Opening Hours: 10 am - 8 pm (Fri to Sun), Closed from Mon to Thu
Admission: $21 per entry pass

If you're looking for a new activity to enjoy with your kids, or even just some time to yourself, Rink @ Punggol East is definitely worth checking out. - the largest roller sports rink in Singapore with over 12,000 sqft of fully sheltered rink space, this is the perfect place for roller-lovers of all ages, rain or shine.

The rink offers a wide assortment of rollersports equipment, including bicycles, inline skates, scooters, pedal go-karts, and more. There's something for everyone, whether you're an experienced rollerblader or just starting out. Pedal go-karts and scooters are great for the kids.
