1. Visit the Mitsubishi Electric Asia’s Car Boot For Good (Kids Edition)

Looking for a fun and meaningful family day out? Head to the Mitsubishi Electric Asia’s Car Boot for Good (Kids Edition) on 31 August 2024, from 10am to 4pm, for a day packed with activities that support young entrepreneurs and local social enterprises. Highlights include a Stamp Rally where kids can earn gifts, nostalgic carnival games like Ring Toss and Fish Cup, and free treats like Old Chang Kee snacks, popcorn, and cotton candy (while supplies last).

Families can also support social enterprises like ADRC, Wunder Bake, and Olive Tree, teaching kids about sustainability and giving back.

2. Celebrate Donald Duck's 90th Anniversary at VivoCity’s Sky Park

Get ready for a quacking good time at VivoCity’s Sky Park from 20 August to 22 September 2024! The Mid-Autumn Festival transforms into a Disney-themed wonderland celebrating Donald Duck’s 90th Anniversary with vibrant displays, photo zones, and a beach party atmosphere.

From now until 1 September 2024, bring your family to New Bahru for the OATSIDE Fun Side Adventure. Kids can collect a special adventure booklet and participate in free activities with 11 local partners to earn stamps and redeem an exclusive OATSIDE Chocolate Malt Adventure Kit (with 10 stamps).

Activities include printmaking at Chalk N Pencils, bag charm making at MAKE by GINLEE, and a workout challenge at Mobilus, each earning 2 stamps. 4. Experience the Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival

This year's Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival, themed "Mid-Autumn Across Generations," features a stunning 8-metre-tall statue symbolizing family unity and tradition. The festival kicks off with the Lantern Walk on September 14 and offers a blend of cultural activities:

  • Festive Fair: Explore a variety of stalls and food options.
  • Lantern Painting Competition: Let creativity shine with lantern designs.

    5. Don’t Miss Wan Qing Closing Fest Before SYSNMH Closes for Restoration!

    Venue: Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH)
    Date: 20 Aug – 15 Sep 2024
    Gallery Hours:

    • Sun to Fri: 10am – 5pm (Last admission at 4.30pm)
    • 24 Aug, 31 Aug, 7 Sep, 14 Sep & 15 Sep 2024: Extended gallery hours (Last admission at 8.30pm)
    • Closed on Mon

    Lawn Hours: 10am – 9pm, Daily
    Fee: Free Admission for All with Ticketed Activities

    The Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH) will close from 16 September 2024 until 2027 for major restoration. Before the doors shut, join the Wan Qing Closing Fest to dive into Singapore’s Chinese culture and history.

    Festival Highlights:

    • Moonlit Legends: Explore stunning outdoor lantern displays featuring beloved Mid-Autumn characters.
    • Cultural Workshops: Enjoy hanfu portraits, fan making, and snowskin mooncake workshops for a hands-on experience.
