Here's a list of weekly family fun events and experiences for you to create family fun this week!

Here's our weekly list of family fun to-dos to help you create lots of fun times with the kids! There are a couple of National Day events happening around Singapore, i.e., one at One Punggol, and another at Raffles Place. Try your hands at disability sports at Play Inclusive, as well as indulge in another weekend of motorsports madness at Sprint Fest 2024. Additionally, don't miss your chance to grab your tickets to the Space Explorers: THE INFINITE exhibition!

1. Get Tickets To Space Explorers: THE INFINITE

Venue: Annexe Hall 2 & 3, Science Centre Singapore
Dates: 12 October 2024 – 24 March 2025

Dive into space exploration at the first Space Explorers: THE INFINITE exhibition in Southeast Asia, inspired by NASA missions. Since 2021, this exhibition has captivated over 400,000 visitors in the US and Canada. Created by Felix & Paul Studios with TIME Studios and NASA, this immersive event lets you float in space and explore the ISS virtually.

Suitable for all ages, it combines interactive STEM learning with the excitement of space exploration. Featuring 250 hours of 3D-360° footage, astronaut testimonials, and the first VR-filmed spacewalk, this exhibit promises a transformative experience. Experience life as an astronaut, including breathtaking views of Earth and simulated routines aboard the ISS. Walk through a detailed virtual replica of the ISS, experiencing the vastness of space up close. Through video diaries and exclusive footage, gain insights into the daily lives and challenges of astronauts. Embark on a cinematic VR adventure, simulating the excitement of a real spacewalk.

2. Get Ready For A Weekend Of Motorsports Madness at Sprint Fest 2024

Venue: Palawan Green, Sentosa
Dates: 3 & 4 August 2024
Admission: Free

Another weekend of Sprint Fest 2024 is happening this weekend at Palawan Green, Sentosa. Sprint Fest 2024 aims to promote local talent with thrilling races, live beats, and culinary delights, making it a hit for all ages.

Enjoy free entry to this family-friendly event, perfect for motorsports enthusiasts, foodies, music lovers, and even pets! Witness the rare 2004 Suzuki Ignis Sports, Sprint Fest’s first project car, a World Rally Championship relic. See top Singaporean drivers compete in precision-driving competitions, including the first-ever night stage. Test your skills on the same tracks as the pros with limited slots available for practice. Participate in the Mini-Z GT Race and enjoy free play sessions. Marvel at restored and modified cars in vibrant car meets at Beach Station Carpark. Experience adrenaline-pumping drift demos and win a chance to ride with professional drifters!

Enjoy exclusive treats like Ice Slushies and tasty bites from Private Kitchen by Slush. Stay entertained with live music, a magic show by Tommy Kian, and thrilling acts from Circus in Motion. 3. Celebrate Singapore's 59th National Day at One Punggol

Venue: One Punggol (3 and 9 August) and open field beside Punggol MRT (10 August)
Date: 3, 9, and 10 August 2024
Admission: Free

Punggol residents can enjoy three days of exciting National Day celebrations from 3 to 10 August 2024 at One Punggol!

On 3 August 2024, families can look forward to a wide array of fun activities, such as bouncy castles, movie screenings, fitness workouts, arcade games, and arts & crafts workshops. Young children will also love the Candy House Bouncy, Rainbow Bear Ballpit, and arcade games like Flash Dash and Basketball. Additionally, families can also look forward to participating in various creative workshops, such as making DIY Merlion plushies, paper puppet dragons, and Red Lion parachuters. Thereafter, families can join the local busking group Voltera for a heartwarming sing-along with National Day songs like "Home" and "Di Tanjong Katong."

On 9 August 2024, families can enjoy carnival activities and a live screening of the National Day Parade at Celebration Square from 5 PM. They can also watch the State Flag Flypast with RSAF helicopters and F-16s between 5:45 PM and 6:30 PM.

On 10 August 2024, families can get to enjoy community performances, SAF, SCDF, and SPF vehicle displays, fireworks, and more family activities near Punggol MRT. NDP packs will also be given to those attending the celebrations, so grab it fast while stocks last!

4. Celebrate National Day Early With UNWIND @ Raffles Place

Venue: Raffles Place Park
Date: 3 August 2024
Admission: Free

As the National Day is just a week ahead, let’s embrace the Singapore spirit with UNWIND @ Raffles Place and spend your Saturday evening happily. The event will be held at the heart of the Central Business District on 3 August 2024. 

Enjoy nostalgic activities perfect for all ages, including lawn games like badminton, giant Jenga, and mini golf. Kids and parents can play chapteh, five stones, and other traditional games while live music elevates the atmosphere. Explore the Central Business District from 4-5 PM with a fun bike tour featuring a solar-powered DJ booth. Boost creativity with a free-play workshop creating postcards featuring iconic Singapore motifs.

Win vouchers from CHUMS, VIBE Bistro, and Ammakase by participating in various challenges, and enjoy free Brewlander beers and White Rabbit ice cream by liking specific Instagram pages.

Additionally, get to enjoy performances from local talents like Shak, Dita, Mars B, and Hanging Up The Moon from 4-9 PM, and relax in CHUMs’ camping chairs for a screening of Sing 2 at 6:30 PM. First 50 to register by 29 July 2024 get reserved seats and a free croissant.

5. Try Your Hands At Disability Sports At Play Inclusive

Venue: Singapore Sports Hub
Dates: 3 and 16 Aug 2024, 9 am - 6 pm
Admission: Free

Mark your calendar for 3 August 2024 at the Singapore Sports Hub. Open to the public for the first time, Play Inclusive offers a unique chance to engage in inclusive sports. Try wheelchair rugby, goalball, football, cycling, floorball, blind running, boccia, and shooting. These inclusive sports aim to foster friendship, acceptance, and understanding of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Get to also enjoy carnival booths and interactive activities, as well as celebrate with a concert showcasing talents of all abilities. Additionally, basic health checks are also available for PWDs.
