The Sep school holiday kicks off with lots of family fun experiences to be had!
Here's our weekly list of family fun to-dos to help you create lots of fun times with the kids! This week, families can head down to the RSAF Open House, or have fun at the month long Singapore River Festival! Sanrio character fans will not want to miss the Garden of Lights installations at VivoCity, and we also highlight a couple of holiday camp ideas for the last min ones!

1. Visit the RSAF Open House
Venue: Paya Lebar Air Base
Dates: 9 and 10 Sep 2023 (Open House)
Admission: Free
The RSAF55 Open House features interactive exhibitions throughout the day, interspersed with exciting live programmes. Look forward to capability demonstrations like the aerial capability display as well as virtual black knights. Get the chance to get up-close and personal with the air force assets and personnel at the static displays.
For those of you who managed to snag tickets to the familiarisation flights, you will definitely be in for a treat! Otherwise, families can also have fun at the carnival games at the open house too! There will also be performances by the SAF Central Band and the Music and Drama Company.
There are also food and refreshments available in the Dining & Performance Hall with food trucks throughout the RSAF55 Open House fairground.
2. Have an Exciting Time at the Singapore River Festival
Venue: Singapore River Precinct
Dates: 7 Sep - 1 Oct 2023
Admission: Free with paid activities
Back for its seventh edition and marking its first physical comeback since 2019, the annual Singapore River Festival will see an even more interactive and engaging event for all.
Witness Singapore’s three iconic quays, Cavenagh Bridge, Read Bridge, and Alkaff Bridge, light up and transform into a mesmerizing canvas of colours with stunning light art installations. And for the opening weekend, catch a captivating line-up of performances at Read Bridge, River Promenade in front of Clarke Quay Central and Riverside Point, or head down to Circular Road to take part in a vibrant street party.
3. Show Your Support at the Beyond the Label Fest
Venue: Jewel Changi Airport
Dates: 8 Sep 2023, 9.30 am - 9.30 pm
Admission: Free
This year's Beyond the Label (BTL) Fest is centred around the theme, “Mental Wellness Begins with All of Us” and aims to highlight that mental wellness is a shared responsibility.
Take part in workshops and interactive event booths throughout the day that will teach you tips and strategies to better manage your mental wellbeing. In the evening, families can enjoy performances by local artiste Annette Lee and students from various educational institutions, and hear their mental health stories.
There will also be promotions by Jewel Changi Airport tenants, including 1 for 1 ice cream scoop at Anderson's of Denmark, complimentary Salted Fish Skin with min. $30 spending at IRVINS and more!
4. Grab Photos at the Garden of Lights, VivoCity
Venue: VivoCity Sky Park, Level 3
Dates: 31 Aug - 1 Oct 2023

Happening from 31st Aug to 1st Oct 2023, families can look forward to capturing Insta-worthy photo moments with their favourite Sanrio characters across four zones located within the VivoCity Sky Park on Level 3 of the mall at the Garden of Lights!
From the pretty Friendship Bridge to the Hello Kitty Garden Maze, come and be mesmerised by the beauty of larger-than-life figurines illuminating the night sky, including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Little Twin Stars, and more!
