Singapore might be small but it is definitely not boring! Let's take a look at a list of events and experiences happening this week for more family fun - head outdoors to pick up survival skills, or indoors to pick up knowledge, or how about getting a taste of Bangkok without going overseas?

1. Pick-up Outdoor Survival Skills at Reflections at Bukit Chandu

Looking to learn from the soldiers who stood for Singapore?

As part of Battle for Singapore 2023, families can head down to Reflections at Bukit Chandu to take part in activities to test your outdoor survival skills! Complete a series of activities and essential survival skills, including navigation skills, starting a fire safely, basic first aid skills and more! That's not all! Complete all stations to bring home a mystery gift too!

2. Have A Fun Day Out With Your Kids and FurKids

Venue: Coastal PlayGrove, East Coast Park
Dates: 11 Feb 2023, 10 am - 6 pm
Admission: Free

Organised by NParksPets' Day Out (PDO) is the perfect event for animal-loving parents looking for fun and educational activities to do with their furry friends. 

Parents can expect a variety of talks and workshops focused on improving the quality of life for their pets, as well as opportunities to learn more about pet care for birds and dogs at the Community Corner. Additionally, there will be free pet health checks conducted by vets from the Animal and Veterinary Service, an adoption drive where parents can give a new pet a forever home, and a bustling market place with a wide variety of curated pet retail.

Conducted by Animal and Us Academy, the 'Vet Clinic’ Tour parent-child workshop explores what goes on behind the scenes in a veterinary clinic and to let families learn about the responsibilities of being a pet owner! 

3. Get A Taste Of Bangkok at Chatuchak Singapore

Venue: 200 Turf Club Rd The Grandstand, South Carpark, 287994
Dates: 7 Feb - 2 Apr 2023, 4 pm - 10 pm (Tue - Sun)
Admission: Free, spending required for activities and food

One of the most iconic Bangkok night markets, Chatuchak Night Market will be in Singapore at the Grandstand South Carpark from 7 Feb to 4 Apr 2023. Families can expect over 180 different vendors on a rotational basis (some will take turn over the 3 month period), selling street food, handicrafts, and antiques in a 20,000 square feet space. In fact, some of the vendors will be flown in from the original Chatuchak market in Bangkok! 

4. Visit the Newly Opened Punggol Regional Library

Venue: 1 Punggol Drive, One Punggol, Singapore 828629
Opening Hours: 12pm to 9pm, Daily except Public Holidays

Located within One Punggol, Punggol Regional Library has opened its doors to the public on 30 January 2023 with dedicated offerings for children on two levels, as well as new accessible features for persons with special needs. 

With dedicated offerings for children on Levels 1 and 2, the library will serve the needs of the community in Punggol, which has one of the highest proportions of children below five years old in its resident population. Families will find dedicated collections and spaces for children of all ages, where they will be able to broaden their learning about the world and develop 21st century skills as a family!

5. Catch the PLAYtime! 2023 Series - Tickets Available Now!

PLAYtime! is an exciting theatre series by the Esplanade for children aged 3 to 6 and is designed to spark your child's creativity and encourage conversations and learning through the performing arts. Themes of social and emotional development are central to PLAYtime! 2023, helping children to explore questions such as "Who am I?", "What makes me special?", and "Why do I feel this way?".

Families can expect 3 performances in this year's edition, each are child-centric, taking into account the perspectives, joys, and anxieties of young children, and are aimed to provide families with opportunities to be open about their feelings and to find conversation starters through these stories too! The performances are
