Here are some of the family-friendly things you should do in Kota Tinggi.
1. Desaru Beach
Location: Bandar Penawar, Kota Tinggi 81930, Malaysia

Bury your feet in the soft sandy shores of the pristine Desaru Beach, feel the cool wind breeze past you, soak in the Vitamin Ds from the glorious sunrays, and take a dip in its warm waters. Be sure to pack a picnic basket and mat to make the most of your beach trip!
2. Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm
Location: Lots 1289 Jalan Sembilan, Kota Tinggi 81940, Malaysia
Date: Daily
Time: 9 am - 6.30 pm (Mon - Fri) | 9 am - 7 pm (Sat - Sun)
Admission: RM 8/adult | RM 4/child
For an insightful experience on saltwater crocodiles, visit the Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm where you’ll find hundreds of them, from small baby crocodiles that you can hold in your hand to hulking granny crocodiles. And for a few extra bucks, you can also witness a live feeding!
Be sure to hold on to your little ones tightly so that they don’t run around the farm.
3. KOREF Desaru Leisure Farm
Location: KM16, Jalan Tg Balau Sedili Kecil, Biodesaru, Bandar Penawar 81930 Kota Tinggi, Johor

At KOREF Desaru Leisure Farm, all your troubles and worries will be washed away by the fresh air, surrounding greenery, tranquil landscape and idyllic scenery.
Pack away your phones and tablets, instead enjoy kayaking and fishing, flying fox and swings over the lake. Unleash your inner ninja at the water obstacles course and befriend the fishes, rabbits and geese.
Tree houses and floating chalets set amidst rice paddies, vegetable crops and expansive lake at the farm gives a taste of the rustic lifestyle.
4. Kota Tinggi Waterfalls [Temporarily Closed]

At the Kota Tinggi Waterfalls, you can enjoy the scenic view of two cascading waterfalls and take a dip in its cold pools. And if you still can’t get enough of sploshing in the pools of the waterfall, you can also rent floats to ride waterslides.
A note of caution, do take extra care when walking, especially of the little ones, as the paths can be quite slippery and please do not jump into the pools or you may injure yourself on the rocks.
5. Firefly Valley Leisure Park
Location: Jalan Jemaluang, 81900 Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia
Date: Daily
Time: 11 am – 6 pm
Admission: RM 18/adult | RM 12/child (inclusive of admission to mini farm)
Take a little trip to visit flittering fireflies lighting up the dark night that’s just a boat ride away from Kota Tinggi Firefly Valley Leisure Park (prior reservation is required).
There is also a mini zoo at the park where you can feed rabbits, goats and fishes while you wait for your ride. And if you need some feeding, you’ll find a restaurant near the mini zoo offering up delightful seafood.
