Disney+ Hotstar has finally come to Malaysia! The streaming platform is officially available from 1 June 2021, and offers a wide variety of international and local content! These include international movies and TV shows from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic and more, and local ones from J2: J Retribusi, Ejen Ali, KL Special Force, and Zombitopia.
Disney+ Hotstar Pricing In Malaysia
The streaming service is available for RM54.90 for 3 months. This plan supports 2 concurrent streams so that Mummy and Daddy can watch their show while the little ones indulge in the dedicated kids-friendly section (and lots of Frozen)!
How To Watch?
You can watch it on compatible smart TVs, download the Disney+ Hotstar app from the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store on your mobile devices or simply watch it on your computer’s web browser.
It is compatible with Apple and Android TVs, but not yet on other smart TVs on proprietary OS, such as Samsung.
Subscribing To Disney+ Hotstar
You can register via the Hotstar website or through the Disney+ Hotstar app. You can pay via credit (Visa, Mastercard and AMEX) or debit card. It also allows you to pay via online banking through FPX which supports 17 banks. The subscription will be charged on a quarterly basis.
If you are an Astro Movies Pack subscriber, your monthly Astro subscription will come with the Disney+ Hotstar subscription for an extra $5. To activate your Disney+ Hotstar as an Astro customer, simply link your account on their website with your Astro ID to start streaming!
