One of the most relaxing and scenic ways to see the sights of Vancouver is to hire a suitable bike and explore Stanley Park and the Seawall, the inner loop or all the way to Sunset Beach. With playgrounds, artworks, the famous Totem Poles and breathtaking views of the city skyline and North Shore Mountains, the ride is mainly flat on a dedicated bike track and perfect for all ages and levels of fitness.

Science World is a perfect place for curious kids. Packed with interactive exhibits, a massive IMAX theatre, and rotating seasonal displays, it offers both education and fun for children and adults alike.

4. Vancouver Aquarium

The Aquarium is the largest in Canada and has a “hands on” wet lab, rescue otters and sea lions, a 4D theatre and educates about everything coastal or ocean life from tropical coral reefs to the Amazonian rainforest. All ages enjoy the dolphin and sea lion shows.

5. Granville Island

Granville Island is a bustling hub of activity with its public food market, artsy shops, and street performers. There’s a two-storey kid’s market, adventure game zone, foods from around the world to explore and special events to keep them away from their screens. 

Finish off with a ferry ride or walk across the huge, sky-high bridge back towards downtown, taking in all the sights of the city as you stroll. Vancouver International Children’s Festival on Granville Island takes place annually at the end of May into early June.

VanDusen Botanical Garden is not just for nature or plant lovers. Families can lose themselves the hedge maze, admire the spectacular seasonal flower displays, and take part in kid-friendly activities like the annual Festival of Lights during the holiday season.

New Air Canada Flight Schedule

To ensure that more travellers from Singapore and beyond get to enjoy Vancouver’s magical winter, Air Canada is adding a fifth flight departing on a Friday from Singapore to Vancouver, as a seasonal expansion of Air Canada’s schedule between 6th December 2024 and 28th March 2025. 

The Vancouver to Singapore segment departs on Wednesday starting 4th December 2024 and will run till 27th March 2025. With a flight time of just around 14 hours, you can land in a winter wonderland, feel rested and ready to explore what Vancouver has to offer!
