The highly anticipated, on-demand entertainment platform by Disney has been available since February 2021 with over 650 movies and 15,000 episodes of content for families to watch!
What Is Available On Disney+ In Singapore?
Singapore is the first to get Disney+ with all six content brands at launch. This brands include, Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic and Star. Together, you can expect beloved classics from Disney as well as new creations.
At launch, many were excitedly waiting for series such as Wandervision, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Loki and What if...? from the Marvel franchise. Fans can continue to expect exclusive access to Marvel and Disney series as the platform continues to battle its rivals in the region, including Netflix, Viu, and other.
However to catch the latest movies, Singaporean subscribers will have to pay a one-time Premier Access ($38.98) to get them on the platform. Otherwise, newer movies tend to have a "blackout" period from cinema screening before they are available to "normal" subscribers on the website. Examples are the recent Disney and Marvel movies, Cruella and Black Widow.
Of course, the platform is not just Disney and Marvel, and you can also expect to find content from the other brands too, including Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic and Star.
How Can I Stream Disney+
Disney+ is accessible on mobile and connected devices including gaming consoles, smart TVs and streaming media players. Some older smart TVs may not be compatible, and it is advisable to check if you can download the Disney+ app before subscribing.

You can download any series or movie via the Disney+ app. Every subscriber is entitled to unlimited downloads and this is great for downloading shows for the kids!

Disney+ costs $11.98 per month if you subscribe on a monthly basis. But if you opt for the yearly subscription, you’ll pay $119.80 per year, which is approximately $9.98 per month. That is less than $10 per month.
With your Disney+ account, you can create up to 7 profiles and stream across 4 screens at once. So, you can consider sharing an account and make it cheaper per person. You can subscribe to Disney+ via their official website.
Is A Disney+ Subscription Worthwhile?
From a monetary perspective, Disney+ is cheaper compared to Netflix (if you go on an annual subscription) and HBO GO. However, we do find ourselves (and the kids) spending more time on Netflix as it offers a greater variety compared to Disney+.

That being said, the exclusive access to Marvel and Disney content means that we have been spending a considerable amount of time on the platform, in particular the Marvel series and Disney Princesses. In conclusion, if you have only plans for 1 subscription, you may want to take up Netflix but if you don't mind multiple subscriptions, we do suggest subscribing to both Disney+ and Netflix
