Changi Airport announces that it will be closing Terminal 3 Basement 2 temporarily to the public as a precautionary measure.

On 9 May, Changi Airport posted on their Facebook page that they will be temporarily closing Terminal 3 Basement 2 to the public from 10 May 2021 till further notice.
What will be closed?
The entire basement 3 will be closed, including retail and F&B outlets. Only airport workers will be allowed into the area once deep cleaning has been completed and staff working in these food and beverage (F&B) and retail outlets also need to be tested negative for COVID-19.
During this closure, menus from T3B2 F&B outlets will not be available on Changi Eats, Changi Airportâs food delivery service. The customer service counter at T3B2 will also be closed. The closure also affects the family-friendly tenants, including ST3PS, Play! by KinderPlay and Zone X.
Stores and restaurants on other levels of Terminal 3 remains open.
COVID-19 Cases At Changi Airport
The closure comes after news on 8 May 2021 that 3 workers working at Changi Airport tested positive for COVID-19. Changi Airport shared that Terminal 3 Basement 2 (T3 B2) will be closed to the public temporarily with effect from 10 May 2021, pending MOHâs epidemiological investigations. T3 B2 is of particular concern as several of the COVID-19 cases had visited outlets there.
