Activity Reviewed: Island Wanderer SG - Family Escape Adventure Trail
Reviewer: @lifestinymiracles
This is the first year where we can’t travel overseas during the year end vacation...Although it seems hard initially to envisage how we can all be “stuck” in Singapore and co-exist peacefully in such a small, congested island state (with everyone on leave), I’m so proud to see many families (including ours), taking time to re-discover our local sights and sounds.
This month, we visited the Zoo, did the DuckTour, gone on several heritage waking trails: first to Kampong Glam 🕌and over the Christmas weekend to Joo Chiat (associated as a foodie haven)🍜🍱🍣🥘🥗.
It was a spontaneous decision, I wasn’t even dressed in my walking shoes but we had time on our hand, the weather was good and so we went.
Following the clues released by @islandwanderer.sg (in escape-room style) inside the FB messenger app, we started our self-directed walking trail at Katong Shopping Centre, and spent 2hrs+ exploring the colorful, historic sites. I was so enthralled by the beautiful wall murals and felt energized as we discovered the lesser known history of this eastern enclave in Sg. Little did I know it would become the highlight of our Christmas break.
There are more family-friendly walking trails offered by @islandwanderer.sg, which we highly recommend. The hubby is hoping to bring us to try the Telok Ayer (Chinatown) trail next weekend! 📻 Which part of Sg have you discovered this hols?
