Built on top of a covered canal, Alexandra Canal Linear Park is a unique park connector linking Commonwealth Ave to Tanglin Road.

Opening Hours: 24 hrs (7 pm - 7 am, lighting hours)

Linking Commonwealth Avenue to Tanglin Rd, Alexandra Canal Linear Park is a 1.4km strip that starts from Queenstown MRT Station and runs along Strathmore Estate before ending at Tanglin Road, where it leads to Alexandra Park Connector. The park features a vast array of fitness and play equipment for all ages, providing endless fun for the young and old.

A Selection of Play Venues for All Ages

Along the park, you will find the popular Alice in Wonderland Playground at Dawson Vista, Hills & Ribbons Playground at SkyResidences @ Dawson, Eco-Jungle Adventure Playground at Dawson, and many other neighbourhood playgrounds, including a skate corner with ramps and railings too! Cross over to the Alexandra Park Connector, and you will also find the Alexandra Canal Water Play Area too! 

Alice in Wonderland Playground

Hidden among the HDB blocks and the among the trees at Dawson Vista is this Alice in Wonderland Playground. In reality, The WonderLand Playground is not that difficult to find, being directly behind the multi-storey Carpark and with signs to lead the way. Once at the playground, you will quickly notice the many references made from Alice in Wonderland and spot the many characters from the classic story. 

Hills & Ribbons Playground

Located beside Margaret Drive Hawker Centre at the SkyResidence @ Dawson estate is the Hills & Ribbon Adventure Playground where kids can have a blast exploring and unleashing their imagination in this thematic play space! 

Featuring a forest hammock, a trampoline, climbing ropes, and undulating play hills, the playground is divided into 2 sections. The younger section includes play elements like the play panels, see saw, springer and spinning bowl is recommended for 2 to 5 year olds, and the other section with the Treehouse with slide, climbing ropes and trampoline is recommended for 5 to 12 year olds. 

Eco-Jungle Adventure Playground

Inspired by a woodland habitat, the Eco-Jungle Adventure Playground is an outdoor play area at the SkyParc @ Dawson estate styled to blend in with the natural environment and as an “eco jungle adventure”. 

Families will find play structures with timber elements for them to explore, have an adventure and discover lots of fun! Kids will get to run across undulating terrain, conquer climbing structures and attempt to cross swaying bridges too! 

 Alexandra Canal Water Play Area

Along Alexandra Park Connector, a 1.2 km stretch of Alexandra Canal from Tanglin Road to Delta Road has been transformed into an attractive open waterway with softened banks to create a community. Here, you will find the Alexandra Canal Water Play Area, a short stretch of the open waterway decked over to create an interesting water cascade where little ones can go in to play! 

The water is ankle deep and the kids can just go splashing and exploring in the water! Do note that there are no toilets or change facilities nearby. 

Other Play Venues

The Alexandra Canal Linear Park is also great for kids to bring their kick scooters and bicycles to explore. Going up and down the 1.4km stretch, you will find a number of playgrounds to simply stop and play at too! 

 Avid skaters can also look forward to challenging themselves at the skate corner, which includes ramps and railings. 

Getting To Alexandra Canal Linear Park

You can visit Alexandra Canal Linear Park via the various entry points along the way. The nearest MRT station is Queenstown MRT station. 

Alexandra Canal Linear Park is also connected to the Alexandra Park Connector that stretches from Tanglin Road to Zion Road (1.7km) where you will reach Great World Mall and Great World MRT station.
