With its tall mature native trees and natural vegetation, Clementi Woods Park is a welcoming retreat for those looking to get close to nature. While it is not as popular with many parks, Clementi Woods Park actually boast a playground, Nature Playgarden, amphitheatre, and a dog run!
Amphitheatre
The amphitheatre is surrounded by tall trees with steps for visitors to take a break. It used to be a popular spot for many events but this has slowed down due to the ongoing COVID situation.
Sand-based Playground
At the centre of the playground is a small playground which is sand-based. The playground may not be impressive but bring along a bucket and spade, we think it is sufficient for an hour of fun!
The playground is quite well sheltered with tall trees, and there is a nearby shelter for breaks and parents to rest in too!
Nature Playgarden
Located near to the amphitheatre and washroom is a Nature Playgarden designed by pre-schoolers to encourage them to spend more time outdoors and to reconnect with nature! The playgarden makes use of logs to create different play features, including log steps, log ladders and even a water fountain made from logs!
To reach the playgarden, follow the signs to the amphitheatre and you will not miss it.
Dog Run
The park also has a dog run available for our fur-friends to run without a leash! This 4,000 sqm area is on a gentle slope with waterpoint is available too.
Next to the dog run is a allotment garden where kids can have a look at an assortment of plants and vegetables, and observe how they are grown!
How to get to Clementi Woods Park?
By Public Transport
You can take a bus and drop along West Coast Road, opposite Kent Ridge Sec Sch.
By Car
The entrance to the Carpark is along Clementi Road next to the Japanese Primary Sch and opposite NUS.
Note: Google Maps will direct you to go through Kent Vale. This is incorrect, the entrance is before Kent Vale, nearer to West Coast Road.
