A transport-themed playground, Great World Playland, opens at Great World, Level 2. With a hot-air balloon, a train and a ship to bring your kids places!

A new transport-themed playground with a hot-air balloon, a train and a ship opens at Level 2 of Great World. Suitable for kids aged between 2 to 12 yrs old, these globe-trotting kids can visit the Great World Playland to explore a world of fun! The entrance of the playland is between Kith and Tokyu Hands.
In fact, we really love that family-friendly restaurant, Kith, offers a full view of the playground from the dining area. This will be great for parents to have a meal and to watch over the kids at the same time!
A Hot-Air Balloon For Older Kids
The main play equipment at the Great World Playland is a hot-air balloon play structure. The "balloon" is a metal dome with climbing nets for children to climb into. inside the dome, kids will find more climbing nets and ropes, and to exit, they simply take the metal slide to make a grand exit!
There is an advisory at the playground that states that the playground is for 5 to 12 yrs old. The same advisory also states a maximum of 47 persons in the dome (which we highly doubt is likely to fit)!
Train, Ship And More For Younger Kids
At the playground, you will also find a train, ship and other play equipment suitable for younger kids. The train with carriages will let the kids play pretend as train drivers or as passengers on the train. The ship has a shorter slide and climbing net suitable for younger kids.
At the Great World Playland, you will also find a mini see-saw, trampoline and a elephant bouncy ride!
Free but Not Sheltered
The playground is free to enter. However, do take note that while the playground is "inside" the mall, it is not sheltered and is not suitable for play on rainy days (or really hot ones), which seems like quite a pity.
Great World is turning out to be a really family friendly mall with the revamped Amazonia Indoor Playground, Golden Village Cinema and other family-friendly tenants and amenities! The opening of the Great World MRT will greatly enhance its accessibility for families to visit!
