A collaborative project between NParks and KPMG Singapore, the KPMG Wellness Garden at East Coast Park is the first new multigenerational Wellness Garden in the East boasts four themed sections, including a therapeutic garden, a nature playgarden, a nature fitness area and a pond trail.
Located together at East Coast Park Area D, friends and families can now enjoy a variety of activities, ranging from active play to tranquil nature-based interactions!
At the Wellness Garden, you can also take in panoramic views at the elevated deck, which is accessible via a barrier-free ramp, or go on a leisurely stroll along the pond trail to spot dragonflies and birds amongst aquatic plants such as the Indian Shot and Common Cattail.
Nature Playgarden
Recommended for children from 2 to 12 years old, let the little ones roleplay as an explorer or a boat captain at the new coastal-themed nature playgarden at KPMG Wellness Garden! Children of different age groups and abilities can enjoy active play at coastal-themed play spaces such as the ‘Kelong’ and ‘Stranded Cargo’, lookout platforms accessible by ramps, and a wheelchair-accessible sand play table and trampoline
That's not all! Children can also climb on driftwood, play in a sandpit, and create beats with musical instruments such as hand pipes and tongue drums.
Nature Fitness Area
Adults and older kids can exercise at the adjacent nature fitness area. Use the ‘Cardio Hill’ to engage in a cardiovascular workout or test your agility on balancing beams and stepping pods with various levels of difficulty, made with repurposed logs from East Coast Park!
Great Views from the Therapeutic Garden
Get a quick breather at the elevated deck with panoramic views of the therapeutic garden, the pond as well as the sea. Enjoy the shade from two existing Rosy Trumpet Trees (Tabebuia rosea) which were integrated into its design. At the therapeutic garden, interact with various herbs and edibles at the raised planters, or even enjoy foot reflexology at a quiet corner in the garden.
