So without further ado, let's take a look at the list of new family-friendly places that opened in Singapore in 2024. Note that this list includes both newly opened as well as refurbished venues that reopened over the course of 2024.

Buangkok Square Park - Water Park and Playground
Venue: Buangkok Square Park, between Block 986D and Block 992A
Opening Hours: 8 am - 8 pm (Water Park), 24hours (Dry Playground)
Admission: Free
Buangkok Square Park Water Park opened in March 2024 offering families another free water playground to go splashing in! Come escape from the heat at this aquatic-themed playground with many splash elements, including a Dragonfly spray fountain, a spray tunnel and even a mini splashing bucket too!
There also a toddler play area that resembles a stream with fountains and water gates. Kids can sit themselves into the stream while splashing about!
Next to the water park is are 2 dry play areas. This is the Village-themed dry playground that resembles huts on stilts. There's a taller playground with different climbing elements for children to enter the huts elevated from the ground, and thelower huts at the other playground allows younger ones to climb on cargo nets into the huts, and to enjoy the swings around too!
Yew Tee Waterplay Plaza and Oil Drum Playground
Venue: Beneath Rail Viaduct near Yew Tee MRT towards Pang Sua Canal

Situated beneath the rail viaduct from Yew Tee MRT towards Pang Sua Canal is the Yew Tee Lifestyle Corridor featuring over 1km of recreational and community spaces featuring fitness amenities, recreational facilities and play spaces, including a water playground.
Nearest to and just next to Yew Tee MRT, Waterplay Plaza is a fun, interactive water playground designed to keep for families. It includes play elements such as water sprouts, splashing buckets, a mini- water slide and more to excite the little ones!
There also a little stream play for young ones to splash around in or to place little toys that can float along. The cascading bowls of water is also another simple but fun feature for younger ones!
Further down the corridor is the Oil Drum Playground, a thematic playground that evokes Yew Tee’s history as a wartime oil storage facility, featuring playful oil barrel structures to ignite children’s imagination.
Adventure Playwoods At Bidadari Park
Venue: 121 Upper Aljunied Rd, Singapore 367878
Opened in late 2024, the Adventure Playwoods playground at Bidadari Park offers an exciting, nature-inspired experience for children. A thoughtfully designed play area that blends with the park's natural landscape, Adventure Playwoods features a 5-metre-tall treehouse, climbing nets, slides, an observation pod shaped like a bird's nest, and even a zip line!
The centerpiece of the playground is a 5-metre-tall treehouse, inspired by the surrounding woodlands. There are various climbing elements, such as nets and ladders for children to climb and explore. The treehouse also has an observation pod shaped like a bird’s nest, allowing children to enjoy elevated views of the park and its lush surroundings.
Little ones will also love the zip line that adds an exciting edge to the playground, offering a fun and safe way for children to enjoy the thrill of gliding through the air!
Sisters’ Islands Marine Park
Venue: Sisters' Island, accessible via ferry from the Marina South Pier Ferry Terminal

Sisters' Islands Marine Park is an ideal family day out, where parents and kids can explore marine life, stroll the scenic trail, and enjoy a day with nature. The park’s recent upgrades offer exciting experiences tailored for nature-loving families.
Big Sister’s Island is the only place in the marine park that is open to visitors. Come explore Singapore’s first floating boardwalk that also serves as a coral habitat and research site. It rises and falls with the tides, allowing visitors to view corals and marine biodiversity up close regardless of the tide level.
You can also embark on the 230m Ocean Network Express Coastal Forest Trail that runs through the heart of Big Sister’s Island or head over to the two lagoons for families and children to swim in and go on intertidal walks on when tides are low.
Chinese and Japanese Gardens (Reopened)
Venue: Jurong Lake Gardens
After five years of redevelopment, the Chinese and Japanese Gardens reopen at the end of 2024 with restored landmarks and new eco-friendly features, blending old and new. Nestled in the heartlands, these rejuvenated gardens blend cultural heritage with modern eco-friendly designs, creating a space for families, nature enthusiasts, and the community to reconnect with nature.
Visitors to the Chinese Garden can expect a rich tapestry of experiences. You won't want to miss the picturesque Twin Pagodas, which offer stunning views of Jurong Lake and the cityscape beyond or the Bonsai Garden, a tranquil space that captures the delicate art of bonsai, making it a perfect backdrop for quiet reflection or a fun family photo session.
Adjacent to the Chinese Garden, the Japanese Garden offers a tranquil, zen-like experience inspired by traditional Japanese landscapes. Nature lovers will enjoy the Water Lily Garden, home to Singapore’s largest collection of water lilies, featuring over 150 varieties that bloom both day and night as well as the Sunken Garden, with its towering green walls and tranquil water features.
Bidadari Park
Venue: Bidadari Park Dr
Inspired by Winnie-the-Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood, Bidadari Park offers diverse features at every turn! It features a diverse range of landscapes, from lush marshlands to scenic hillocks, all while preserving the area's wooded, rustic charm.
With its carefully curated plantings, dedicated birdwatching spots, and eco-friendly pathways, Bidadari Park provides a unique and immersive experience for nature enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
Residents can use the completed Bidadari Greenway, which runs from Bartley Road to Upper Serangoon Road, to access Bidadari Park. The Greenway features rest spots and fitness corners along the way.
Sensoryscape on Sentosa

Venue: Imbiah Lookout
Sensoryscape brings you on a a sensory journey from Sentosa's lush ridges to its vibrant reefs unfolds. Along the 350m-long path, you’ll find an assortment of majestic gardens and breathtaking displays where interactive digital light art and augment reality ignite the sixth sense of imagination.
Predominantly a night time outdoor audio-visual and augmented reality experience, Sensoryscape truly transforms into a night-time spectacle as daylight fade, between 7.50 pm to 9.40 pm daily.
Themed along our '6th Sense of Imagination', ImagiNite invites you to slow down and enjoy an evening of sensorial experiences that weaves unique narratives that are designed to marvel. So head down to Sentosa in the evenings to uncover ImagiNite's seven unique experiences with your little ones!
Little Cook@Kinex

Nestled within the Kinex Mall, Little Cook opened in mid-2024, offering kids with a unique and delightful cooking experience! The experience is designed to engage children in the culinary arts while fostering creativity and practical skills.
Kids can choose to make their preferred food from a variety of dishes, ranging from simple and healthy snacks to more elaborate meals. They will get to explore the joys of cooking under the guidance of skilled and friendly instructors in a relaxed, interactive, and educational environment. The class is structured to accommodate a range of skill levels, ensuring that both novices and more experienced little chefs can participate and learn.
So whether you’re looking to introduce your child to cooking or enhance their existing skills, Little Cook's classes are an excellent way to build children's confidence and foster a positive attitude towards food and cooking.
Yooland Indoor Playground

If you have not visited, Yooland is an indoor playground located at Level 3 of Westgate that opened in early Jan 2024. Popular with families in the vicinity, the playgrounds features a futuristic design with LED slides mixed with a pastel pink and white tone.
You will find pretend play, a massive ball pit and LED slides to make your visit super exciting and fun. The playground also promises lots of space for kids to run around with 2 decks of play space!
Kidztropic Cove
Venue: Annex@furama, #05-02, 407 Havelock Road, Singapore 169634

Kidztropic Cove at Annex@furama oppened in mid 2024 and offers a space for young ones to engage in both structured and unstructured activities, encouraging children to learn through exploration, creativity and imaginative play.
One thing to note that at Kidztroic Cove, you won't find massive play structures or energetic play. Instead, Kidztropic Cove allows young ones to engage in imaginative play with a big space with little toys around. There will be different types of toys in different areas to let little ones play with.
Suitable for the really younger ones, the play area has been designed to allow lots of open space with little fixed structures. This allows kids and parents to move around freely, and even to bring toys around as they play.
Kidztropic Cove is also a popular venue for children's birthday parties, baby 100-days celebrations and more! A private area can be cordoned for parties too.
Whoose Party Indoor Playground

Whoose Party Indoor Playground is a play venue that opened in Feb 2024. It is located on the 2nd storey of Grantral Mall, near to Tai Seng MRT station. Whoose Party is filled with a variety of fun play options for little ones to enjoy themselves.
The highlight of the playground is the 6.25m LED mega slide promising an exhilarating experience as well as a great photo opportunity too! Families can also expect a ball pit, pretend play, and sand pit to keep the kids entertained.
There are also party rooms that you can book for your next birthday party too!
SMIGY Forum Indoor Playground
Venue: Forum The Shopping Mall, Level B1

In Feb 2024, SMIGY Indoor Playground opened its new outlet at Orchard Road, at Level B1 of Forum The Shopping Mall. It is a relatively smaller play space and probably more suitable for younger ones too.
Families will find lots of pretend play options, a ball pit and also a rather unique cow milking / feeding play option.
SMIGY Forum also offers a number of additional play options. There is magnetic fishing, space sand, painting and animals rides too. These are an additional charge and are located outside of the playground space.
Kidodo Space Indoor Playground
Venue: 3 Temasek Boulevard, Suntec City Tower 3, #03-350/351 Suntec City Mall, 038983

Opening its doors in Apr 2024, Kidodo Space Indoor Playground is situated conveniently in Suntec City Tower 3, Level 3 and promises lots of fun for families visiting the mall.
Families will find lots of creative play options such as a large ball pit, ball-spraying machines, light projection play, slides, carousel, trampoline, kids' electric motorcycles, remote-controlled excavators, and more!

Wan To Play Sky Castle @ Pasir Ris Mall

Popular indoor playground brand, Wan to Play, opens Wan to Play Sky Castle at Pasir Ris Mall in mid-2024. Designed for both children and parents, this vibrant playground offers a range of activities that foster interaction and togetherness.
From sliding and bouncing to molding sand and pretend play, every corner is filled with opportunities for shared joy. Don't miss the playground's slides and ball pit both being a crowd favourite for little ones. Watch your kids race down the slides, dive into the colorful ball pit, or join them for some giggles as you navigate the fun together.
KF1 Kiddy Circuit

Opened at the end of 2024, KF1 Kiddy Circuit is an immersive go-karting experience for kids where they can enjoy three types of driving experiences - Go-karts, Radio controlled cars and VR driving.
Located at Singapore EXPO Hall 8A, this experience is for children aged 9 years and below only. Parent can only ride with children in tandem. Children below 1m height are required to ride in tandem with an adult (above 18 years).
VroomTown Driving City
Venue: Marina Square, #01-208

Occupying a 20,000 sqft premise in Marina Square, VroomTown Driving City is a mega indoor drive-play academy and playground featuring multiple Singapore icons including the Merlion, Gardens by the Bay and Changi Airport! The realistic city driving experience also includes traffic lights & rules, a large indoor playground and a drive-through for kids!
Kids aged 5 and up will be allowed to drive independently (after getting their VroomTown License). Those below 5 will require parent supervision (in the same car).
Pororo Park Singapore

Themed after Korea’s favourite animated show “Pororo,” the 11,000 sq ft Pororo Park is one of the largest in Singapore and is packed with different attractions and play areas.
The park has undergone a couple of upgrades, and the most recent in 2024 sees the park include exciting new offerings such as a theatre with the return of the Pororo & Friends performances, a revamped Loopy’s Café, a newly added campsite play area for kids and a refreshed retail space.
Nekoland by The Polliwogs

Here's a fresh new play venue that will captivate both kids and parents alike – Nekoland by The Polliwogs, located in the vibrant Clarke Quay Central. Here, you can enjoy the excitement of active play with the joy of interacting with adorable felines, creating a one-of-a-kind experience.
You will notice the Cat Interaction Zone from the outside of the space. It is a small engaging space that allows families to bond with the resident cats. There are 7 resident cats when we visited in Sep 2024 and we understand a couple more will be joining them soon.
Separately, the indoor playground offers many fun zones like the Mirror Maze, Bouncy Trampolines, Ball Pits and more. There’s plenty to keep everyone entertained, from interactive climbing structures and slides to creative arts and crafts stations. There's even a toddlers area for younger ones to enjoy themselves safely too.
You might also be pleased to know that there's a cafe with seating areas for you to relax and watch the kids. The playground's layout also means that kids cannot run past you without being spotted too.
World of Blocks
Venue: PeopleUp Enrichment Hub, 200 Pandan Gardens, #01-06

World of Blocks is an immersive, block-themed indoor playground located at the PeopleUp Enrichment Hub, designed for children to explore and create while having fun.
Taking over the space used by Bouncy Paradise, World of Blocks features over 30,000 soft-play blocks where kids of all ages can engage in imaginative play, building, climbing, and sliding through various interactive zones.
From the Mega Air Bubble – a gigantic bouncy bubble for some gravity defying fun to the Giant Slide Pit with a variety of slides that lead to a massive ball pit, every corner is packed with excitement! There also a Toddler Zone offering a safe, soft space to enjoy, tailored just for kids under 3 years old.
The Artground at One Holland Village

Following the opening of One Holland Village, The Artground opened an outlet at the new mall, offering families with kids between 0 to 9 year old another space to spend time together and to engage with each other through the arts.
The space promises a diverse creative experience for children, families, and seniors alike with drop-in sessions as well as regular arts-based programmes for families. Families should also keep a look out for a changing thematic space that is suitable for young ones to have some fun at too!
Småland at IKEA Alexandra (Reopened)

The reopening of IKEA Alexandra Småland brings great news for both adults and kids!
IKEA Alexandra Småland has a magical forest theme, and is the perfect play haven for kids to jump, climb, run and bounce around. Little ones can look forward to fun and play at this free drop-off indoor playground, while the adults can get to do their shopping in peace!
Houbii Spot
Venue: Singapore Zoo, near to KidzWorld

Situated just a brief 4-minute walk from KidzWorld and in close proximity to the iconic Ah Meng statue, Houbii Spot upgrades in 2024 and now offers an adrenaline-fueled experience for adventurers of all ages right within the Singapore Zoo!
Prepare to test your mettle on the 74 heart-pounding obstacles at ‘The Real Thing’ - a haven for adventure enthusiasts above 120cm! The young ones and the young at heart can also look forward to the all-new ‘Tarzan’ obstacle, which promises to be an exhilarating experience for the whole family.
For adventurers below 120cm (5 years and below), Houbii Spot has a specially designed ‘Mini Course’ featuring 14 obstacles.

Kiztopia Prestige, a sub-brand under Kiztopia, opens at New Bahru and focuses on holistic development in a fun and engaging environment.
Spanning over 8,000 square feet, the outlet is a conducive space specially designed to spark imagination and curiosity at every turn. The neutral earthy tones of the interior décor as well as the eco-friendly play concepts create a serene and welcoming atmosphere for exploration and learning.
Families will not only find a soothing play space for little ones but also regular programmes catered to families, including weekly enrichment programmes too.
New Bahru
Venue: 46 & 58 Kim Yam Road
New Bahru, Singapore’s first creative cluster opened in May 2024. This is a space for families to shop, eat and play, enjoying the offerings from the many unique tenants in the space.
Come over the weekend and you will find families enjoying family fun at the outdoor play space with Singapore's tallest outdoor communal slide coupled with a swing, trampoline and more.
Pasir Ris Mall - New Mall with Playground
Venue: 7 Pasir Ris Central, Singapore 519612
Conveniently located next to Pasir Ris MRT, Pasir Ris Mall boasts over 150 exciting retail, F&B and wellness options. Families will also find free mall playground located within the mall for playtime too.
The mall will also be seamlessly integrated with the future Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub, which encompasses a new bus interchange and the Cross Island Line, while also offering direct connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists to Pasir Ris Park and Beach via the upcoming Central Greenway.
Central Public Library's Children’s Biodiversity Library

Venue: Central Public Library, National Library Building
Reopened in Jan 2024, the National Library Board’s (NLB) Central Public Library now houses the Children’s Biodiversity Library by S.E.A. Aquarium where children gain a deeper understanding of marine biodiversity.
The library includes features such as a floor-to-ceiling column with coral- like features, a collection of marine specimens including shark egg cases and coral skeletons, digital content from the aquarium, an outdoor mangrove showcase, and The Submarine, a room where families can expect regular educational programmes. The library will also feature gamification kiosks with features such as an interactive digital installation where patrons can colour an avatar from NLB’s well-loved Book Bugs series and see them appear on the projection screen.
Central Arts Library
Venue: National Library Building
Dive into the world of art, music, and creativity at the Central Arts Library (CAL). The library features a comprehensive arts collection, regular performances, and dedicated spaces to help you take your passion for music to the next level.
Families can look forward to regular arts activities such as film screenings, performing arts workshops, and Open Stage Originals, a platform for local artists to showcase their original musical works at the National Library Building.
There's also a Piano Practice Room and Silent Studio Room at Level 5 of the National Library Building are open for booking too!
