Following the announcement several years back that the Jurong Bird Park will be moving to Mandai to join the other parks, efforts to relocate the birds have been underway and the new park with its brand-new exhibits and trails is slated to open this year. The park will also be shedding its old name (Jurong Bird Park) for a new one, although we’re not sure what that’s going to be.

RWS has planned about 164,000 sq m of new attractions for its expansion from 2020 to 2025.

The Singapore Oceanarium will be created with the expansion of the existing S.E.A Aquarium. The Maritime Experiential Museum will be giving way from 2 Mar 2020 for this expansion and will allow the new Singapore Oceanarium to be three times larger compared to the S.E.A Aquarium.

On top of this, two new themed attractions will be built and will mark the first expansion of Universal Studios Singapore since its opening in 2010 (yes, its been 10 years since its opening). The Super Nintendo World and Minion Park will be introduced into USS (Minion Park will replace the existing Madagascar area), but we expect these to be ready towards the end of the expansion period in 2025.

5. Pinkfong Baby Shark Indoor Playground

Location: TBU
Operating hours:
TBU

Back in an interview in June 2019, the co-founder of SmartStudy, the Korean company behind Pinkfong, mentioned that they were looking to open a Pinkfong-themed Indoor Playground.

In other words, we’ve really got not much information regarding this other than the fact that we’re probably going to get a new Pinkfong Baby Shark themed indoor playground in Singapore sometime this year. But rest assured, when we do get to know something, you’ll be the first to know!

We spy a new Polliwogs outlet that spans across multiple floors at Kinex (or are we wrong?) and for now, that’s all the information we’ve got for this new resident in the block. And since we’re all for new playgrounds, we’re keeping our ears stuck to the ground for more details. If you have heard or seen something, do let us know too!
