Keen to do something different with your family? Here's an idea - head down to the Science Centre Singapore for a stargazing session at the Science Centre Observatory

There are 2 different experiences to choose from, including the Fri Night Stargazing & Digital Planetarium Live Show, and the more extensive Stargazer Experience.

The Science Centre Observatory

The Observatory is one of the few in the world that is located next to the Equator. This unique position opens up more vistas in the sky and allows you to view constellations in both the northern and southern celestial hemispheres.

Fri Night Stargazing & Digital Planetarium Live Show

Date: Conducted every 2nd and 3rd Friday of the Month
Time: 7.30 pm - 10 pm
Fees: $17 per person (Omni Theatre + Stargazing + Young Astronomer online badge programme)

*Recommended for 4 years old and above.

As the Earth spins around the Sun, every week brings a slightly different visual spectacle to the skies overhead. In the live planetarium show inside the Omni
Theatre, our Science Educator will bring you on a tour of the current night sky, point out the beautiful sights and listen to fascinating stories about the stars.

Visit the Science Centre Observatory after the show, hang around admiring the celestial objects and interact with our Science Educators and Volunteers.

  • 7.30pm - 8.30pm - Whats Up there? Digital Planetarium Show in the Omni Theatre (Registration starts at 7pm)
  • 8.30pm - 10pm - Stargazing at the observatory Participants will take turns for stargazing at the main observatory. Please follow the instructions on the day of the event.

Test your skills after the workshop at the Science Centre Observatory, along with viewing through the observatory's telescopes.
