A Refreshed Dining Experience At Ichiban Boshi: New Grand Menu & Interactive Bingo Game

Ichiban Boshi has launched its new grand menu featuring a refreshed sushi experience designed to enhance your dining pleasure. Look forward to a host of new changes to a menu that you already know and love, including the introduction of a new Ichiban Favourites selection of standout dishes.

With the new menu, nigiri and gunkan sushi now come served as single pieces instead of the typical two, allowing diners greater flexibility to mix and match their sushi selections. What’s more, they’ve added 36 new, delectable options for better, greater variety. Your favourite specialty items from the past have also been integrated into the grand menu across all Ichiban Boshi locations.

Adding to the experience is a fun interactive Bingo game in which you can win delicious prizes instantly in the same visit!

The Ichiban Favourites

At Ichiban Boshi, every visit promises an authentic taste of Japan, crafted with the finest ingredients sourced directly from Japan and globally, as well as Japanese expertise to warm your heart with perfected flavours. Discover the Ichiban Favourites, each dish a testament to dedication of quality and tradition.

They include:

The Ichiban Gozen

A signature dish launched at Ichiban Boshi’s first ever restaurant in 2000, crafted with the five traditional culinary techniques known as Goho (五法) that means all-in-one balanced, delicious set. It comes with ingredients that are kiru (cut), niru (simmer), yaku (grill), musu (steam) and ageru (deep-fry) for wholesome taste and all-rounded texture.

Ichiban Jyu

A popular icon since its introduction in 2005. A simple sushi rice bento topped with slices of the freshest Norwegian salmon and drizzled with sesame oil infused with chilli padi for a uniquely unforgettable taste underlined by the heat of the chilli.

Ichiban Roll

For a treat for the eyes and lips, the Ichiban Roll comes as the chef’s recommendation, promising a jumbo burst of flavour with 20cm-long deep-fried tiger prawn rolls into a stunning roll. Accompaniments of crisp vegetables, creamy avocado and a house-special spicy sauce lends explosive taste to each delightfully crunchy bite.

Cereal Tori Karaage

For more crunch, the Cereal Tori Karaage lends extra crispiness to fried chicken karaage with a special coating of cereal mix. Each bite is highly addictive, especially when paired with the tangy tonkatsu sauce and matching house-made spicy sauce.

Tokusen Gyu Saikoro Steak

Premium striploin is served with the Tokusen Gyu Saikoro Steak, served Saikoro-style on a sizzling hotplate to seal in flavourful juices. Upon serving, it is drizzled with a house-special black pepper sauce for a punch of heat, a bold profile that is well balanced out by a fresh potato salad prepared daily.

Gindara Teriyaki

Cod lovers will delight in the Gindara Teriyaki, a serving of silky smooth, buttery rich silver cod. Lightly grilled then glazed with teriyaki sauce, it is served with crisp vegetables to let the cod’s natural taste and texture shine.

4 Kinds Melty Cheese Katsu

A decadent treat is the 4 Kinds Melty Cheese Katsu, a whole golden cutlet of pork stuffed with 4 types of Hokkaido cheese - cheddar, mascarpone, camembert and cream cheese - before double-fried in Kyoto-style to the most satisfying crunch. Each bite is perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, with molten cheese oozing out of the filet.

Tai Chilli Nabe

Warm the heart and lips with the Tai Chilli Nabe, in which fresh sea bream from Shikoku is simmered to immaculate sweetness in a katsuo and kombu broth, which is then spiced with chilli padi. It is cooked in a special paper hotpot that evenly heats and absorbs excess oil for clean, pure sweetness.

Unagi Seiro

For a taste of tradition, the Unagi Seiro is a specialty dish of Fukuoka created more than 300 years ago. Ichiban Boshi makes its version with katsuo and konbu for deeper depth in the flavour of the rice and adds a dash of vinegared ginger to balance the richness of unagi.

Ebi Tempura

Tempura fans will relish in the Ebi Tempura, made using thick black tiger prawns for immense natural sweetness. It is coated in premium tempura flour imported from Japan for the lightest, airiest crunch and served with a rich katsuo tempura sauce.

Niku Udon

Slurp up the goodness of noodles with Niku Udon, made with udon noodles crafted from specially selected flour, filtered water and sea salt from Japan. It is cooked in the most umami-rich bowl of katsuo and kombu broth and topped off with tender, marinated lean beef for a healthier choice.
