Inspired by Singapore’s iconic HDB dragon playgrounds, BeLONG’s Art Playground is an interactive rooftop art installation that celebrates the Year of the Dragon, thus the playful name BeLONG (龙).
The colourful playground is located on the rooftop of the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and is part of the Singapore Art Week 2024 and the SCCC's Chinese New Year celebrations, CNY Family Fun!
A Dragon-Themed Playground
Say hello to BeLONG and relive your childhood in his playground in the sky! BeLONG welcomes the young and young-at-heart to explore Singapore’s unique Chinese New Year customs within a fun and colourful playground.
Families will get to play amongst different dragons that were creatively included in the playground's design and artwork too!
Different Play Elements
While it is not a huge or dedicated playground, families will be pleased to find various play elements including a slide, swings, monkey bars, merry-go-round and more.
We are sure the kids will have fun exploring the various spots, and also to enjoy the view that the rooftop offers!
Photo Spots
The play equipment themselves are brightly coloured and beautifully designed. Not just for playtime, the installation doubles as a photo spot for those looking to capture their family's photo for the Year of the Dragon.
You will also find cute cut-outs of the zodiac animals around the playground, offering you a chance to play "spot your zodiac animal" and to capture your photos too!
But, that's not all! There are other photo spots including a mahjong room, various installations with text about Chinese New Year customs and more!
After visiting in the day, you may also choose to visit in the evenings when the installations light-up for a different experience too!
