From now till 23 June 2024, Changi Airport invites visitors to immerse themselves in a mesmerising underwater world with its latest horticultural displays titled 'Marine Fantasy'. The captivating displays uses land plants to recreate the wonders of the ocean, celebrating the sea as the source of life on Earth.

3 Spectacular Underwater Showcases

Across three spectacular showcases, over 50 meticulously selected species of flora, ranging from vibrant mosses and colourful flowers, ingeniously transforms into various sea creatures to create underwater tableaus.

At Terminal 2 Departure Hall (North), the display features a pair of courting seahorses frolicking in an undersea garden. Other elements that add to the realism include an aged-looking anchor encrusted with barnacles and an intertwining rope along with vibrant red, orange, and yellow corals.

Visitors walking along Terminal 2’s Departure Hall will also spot another playful scene with more beloved sea creatures. The vibrant and colourful shell of the sea turtle draws attention to this display, accompanied by a pair of graceful jellyfish. Delicately crafted, the jellyfishes’ tentacles are formed from trailing air plants and succulent leaves, expertly mimicking the fluidity and elegance of the real creatures. Corals are also thoughtfully scattered throughout the display, enhancing the illusion of an authentic underwater scene.

At Terminal 3 Departure (North), the clownfish, affectionately known as ‘Nemo’, takes centre stage. Unlike the other displays crafted from a combination of moss and flowers, the clownfish is entirely composed of flowers. Using vibrant orange, white and green blooms, the intricate design mirrors the clownfish’s distinctive body patterns and colours. Additionally, three companion fish adorn the scene, with tails and fins fashioned from palm leaves, lending them a lifelike and dynamic effect.
