The Istana will be open to the public on 13 April 2025 to celebrate Hari Raya Puasa and Labour Day

The Istana will usually open its grounds to the public 5 days a year for the public to visit and the next open house will be 13 April 2025 to celebrate Hari Raya Puasa and Labour Day.
The open house will include entry to the Istana grounds as well as tours at the main building too. Families can expect live performances, activity and merchandise booths, food stalls and tours of the Istana grounds.
Activities At The Open House
As part of the celebrations, the Istana will be having a series of live performances and family-friendly activities.
These include traditional Malay music, ukulele versions of Hari Raya songs and cultural dance performances by Lasalle College of the Arts, Sembawang Primary School, Woodlands Secondary School and the NTUC Club, among others.
Families can view a collection of state gifts during self-guided tours of the Istana Villa, from 8.30am to 6pm, and go for the guided Istana Heritage Tour between 9am and 4pm if they have pre-registered for it.
Please note the Istana Main Building is currently closed for restoration until further notice.
Istana Heritage Tour
Embark on a guided tour of the Istana grounds to explore its rich history, architectural heritage, and unique flora and fauna. The 1-hour walking tour begins at the Main Gate and features highlights such as the Villa, Japanese Garden, and Ceremonial Plaza.
Tours are conducted in English and Mandarin every hour from 9am to 4pm.
Ticketing
Entry into the Istana grounds during the Istana Open House is free for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. Other visitors are required to pay a fee of $20 per adult and $10 per child (4 to 12 years old).
There are also fees for the tours.

- Children (Below 4 years): Free
Istana Heritage Tour

- Children (4 to 12 years): $4 (Singaporeans and PRs), $12 (Standard)
- Children (Below 4 years): Free
Only cashless payments via Credit/Debit Card and/or QR Codes will be accepted.

Points To Note
For security reasons, the following items are NOT allowed within the Istana grounds. There are no storage facilities in the Istana. Security personnel reserve the right to deny entry to visitors with prohibited items.
- Pointed and sharp objects (e.g. knives of any size, forks)
- Flammable items (e.g. lighters)
- Tripods
- Canned food and drinks
