The Istana will be open to the public on 21 April 2024 to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Labour Day

The Istana will usually open its grounds to the public 5 days a year for the public to visit and the next open house will be 21 Apr 2024 to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Labour Day
The open house will include entry to the Istana grounds as well as tours at the main building too. Families can expect live performances, activity and merchandise booths, food stalls and tours of the Istana grounds.
Activities At The Open House
As part of the celebrations, the Istana will be having a series of live performances and various activity booths!
Students from various schools will showcase a vibrant array of multicultural dances and traditional tunes, accompanied by instruments like the angklung, kulintang, and gamelan. In addition to exploring merchandise booths offering exclusive Istana and President’s Challenge souvenirs, visitors are encouraged to support the cause by visiting booths set up by three social service agencies: Club Heal, Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore), and Ain Society, a support group for cancer patients and their families.
The Istana Heritage Gallery, located in Istana Park across the main gate, will also be open. Entry is free for all visitors.
Guided and Self-Guided Tours
Visitors can go on a guided tour to view the function rooms and take a look at the collection of state gifts presented to Singapore’s leaders. These will be available every half an hour from 9.30am to 5pm.
You may also choose to do a self-guided tour too.
There will also be a nature guided tour of the Istana’s flora and fauna conducted by National Parks Board volunteers every hour from 10am to 4pm.
Ticketing
Entry is free for Singaporeans and PRs, as well as for kids below 4 years old. All other visitors will need to pay an entrance fee of $20 per adult and $10 per child aged between four and 12. Children under four may enter for free.
There are also fees for the tours.

Only cashless payments via Credit/Debit Card and/or QR Codes will be accepted.
*The price of the tours are not reflected on the Istana website, thus this information was from previous years and may not be the actual pricing. Do take note when visiting.
Points To Note
For security reasons, the following items are NOT allowed within the Istana grounds. There are no storage facilities in the Istana. Security personnel reserve the right to deny entry to visitors with prohibited items.
- Pointed and sharp objects (e.g. knives of any size, forks)
- Flammable items (e.g. lighters)
- Tripods
- Canned food and drinks
