1. The New KidzWorld Opens at the Singapore Zoo

The new KidzWorld is a one-hectare space that augments Singapore Zoo’s 50-year heritage of providing children and their families with a living classroom to experience animal encounters and plenty of opportunities for playtime. 

A place where learning and fun meet, the experiences have been designed to spark and grow love for animals, wildlife and nature. These range from interactive play, to meeting animals, to a new water maze to dial up the fun. 

Little ones will have lots of space to run at the outdoor playground and splash around in the water play area too. There will be lots of animal experiences where they can interact and get up-close to different animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, goats and more! 

2. Interactive Fun Experience at Chaos Lab

Things are about to get a little chaotic! Chaos Lab is the ideal place for the little ones to have fun creating and playing. Here, they will get to explore a slime station, a neon graffiti wall, a ball pit, and many more surprises!

Meet the manic mad scientist, Dr Splat, and their lab assistants who will guide you through different zones to play, create, learn, and get just a little bit messy. You’ll be sure to enjoy yourself and make great family memories in this lab-themed playground.

3. Nintendo Pop-Up Store At Jewel Changi Airport This November

Venue: Jewel Changi Airport, Level 04-220/221

For the first time in Southeast Asia, a Nintendo Pop-Up Store will open in Singapore's Jewel Changi Airport for a limited time period, from 17 Nov 2023 to 1 Jan 2024. The Singapore store will feature merchandise from games such as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon and Pikmin. These merchandise were previously only available at Nintendo TOKYO, Nintendo OSAKA, and Nintendo KYOTO stores, and they will be available in Singapore soon! 

A key highlight of the product line-up is a special illustration, which shows Mario leading the way, as well as characters such as, Squid Ring from Splatoon, Isabelle and a villager from Animal Crossing, Link from The Legend of Zelda and many others crossing game borders to welcome all at the store. This illustration will be featured in special original merchandise which will be available for purchase. 

4. Changi Airport Candy-themed Wonderland with Carnival Games and More

Changi Airport is set to transform into a realm of festive charm from 4 Nov 2023 to 31 Mar 2024 with a magical candyland filled with fun, games and lots of snow - so head down for to create your wintry family fun! As you explore this magical candyland, look out for Changi’s ever lovable dinosaur mascots, dazzling fairy stilt walkers or even Santa himself!

At the heart of the festivities lies the sweetest spectacle: Candy Wonderland at Terminal 3’s departure hall. A cuddly 5-metre-tall bear, a 7-metre-tall rotating cupcake Ferris wheel, a pool of sprinkles, and candy cane lane beckon Changi’s visitors into a world of sweet delight.

As dusk falls each day, a spellbinding light and snow show will add a touch of magic to the evening. On selected Friday and Saturday evenings, look out for buskers, jugglers, and a live marching band performing holiday tunes. 

Not to be missed is the Candy Carnival located at T3’s arrival hall bursts with a plethora of exciting carnival games, rides, and adorable Changi-exclusive prizes to be won. At the carnival games, test your skills (and luck) and stand a chance to bring home authentic Disney plushies and merchandise featuring everyone's favourite characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pooh Bear, Chip and Dale, and more! 

Just beyond the Candy Carnival lies the enchanting Candy Snow House, a fantastical world of snow and ice where families can play in the cold and slide right into the festive season! 

5. Navy@Vivo - An Exploration with the Republic of Singapore Navy

Navy@Vivo returns after a 4 year hiatus! This year's Navy@Vivo 2023 will be happening at VivoCity from 17 to 19 Nov 2023. Admission is free but families will need to ballot for popular activities, including boarding the RSS Endeavour, riding a Fast Craft Utility and more! 

If you are only reading this now, you would have missed the balloting period, but you can still visit the event for the other activities that will be happening, including the submarine exhibit and more.  

6. Home Team Festival Returns in 2023

This is your chance to get up close and personal with the Home Team Guardians and be part of the action! The Home Team Festival will feature exciting exhibits from the Home Team Departments, showcasing the professionalism and commitment of Home Team Officers as well as many of the latest equipment and technologies the Home Team deploys.

The festival is divided into four thematic zones with immersive displays and exhibits as well as hands-on activities and live demonstrations for an exciting time! Don't forget to also check out the Kids Zone where little ones can role play as different Home Team Officers and ride kiddy rides that mimic the Home Team operational vehicles!

8. Christmas Festivities Returns to Orchard Road - Christmas On A Great Street

Orchard Road will be decked out in its festive finest for the annual Christmas light-up.

Christmas on A Great Street, the signature year-end light-up of Orchard Road, will have more fun-filled activities to mark the 40th anniversary of the lighting up of Orchard Road at Christmas, and the 25th anniversary of the Orchard Road Business Association. 

Families can expect a Christmas Eve Street Party with road closures from Christmas Eve evening till Christmas Day as well as 3 Great Christmas Festive Villages with carnival rides and games, pop-up stores, and food and beverage kiosks located outside Shaw House, Ngee Ann City and Plaza Singapura!

Opening in November 2023, Kiztopia’s new sub-brand SKYPARK by Kiztopia is specially designed for children aged 6 to 14 years old. This new indoor amusement park is located in a 8,0000 square feet space at Cineleisure Shopping Center on Orchard Road. 

Targeting older kids, SKYPARK is a dynamic amusement park that incorporates sports elements, from rock climbing to high-altitude challenges. The biggest highlight is the multi-level play structure, which not only gamifies challenges but also promotes friendly competition among children.

13. Play and More at the LEGO Santa’s Superpower Christmas Cove

28. Four Friends and the Hunter

Four Friends and the Hunter is an Esplanade Production as part of Kalaa Utsavam, the annual Indian Festival of Arts at the Esplanade.

A long time ago in a faraway forest in India, lived four good friends: a deer, a parrot, a turtle and a rat. One day, a hunter shows up looking for his next target. They try their best to stay out of his sight but one of them gets caught! How will they save their friend? What will they do?

Find out how these friends work together to save their friend from the hunter. Inspired by the Panchatantra, a collection of ancient Indian animal fables, this heartwarming story about strength in unity brings you on a journey filled with music, movement and merrymaking.

29. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs tells the story of the Eternal Kingdom, and the Queen who wants everything and everyone to be perfect – just not as perfect as her. So, when her subjects turn 18, they are sent for “Enhancement” – a programme to correct their flaws. 

One day, her Magic Mirror, who cannot lie without literally cracking up, reveals to her that a new beauty has come of age – her own step-daughter, Snow White. Seething with jealousy, the Queen orders the girl to undergo a nip-tuck by the creepy Royal Surgeon.

Kalaa Utsavam is Esplanade's annual Indian Festival of Arts and it is back in Nov 2023! This 10-days festival offer programmes suitable for families such as Four Friends and the Hunter, Bollywood Dance Parent-child workshop as well as free craft activities at the Esplanade Concourse. There will also be other free programmes at DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre and Esplanade Concourse that are family friendly as well.

Suitable for little ones from 1 years old, this is the opportunity to expose the little ones to Indian arts and culture through music, theatre, dance and craft activities. Programmes are mostly performed or conducted in English, and accessible for all families.

The inaugural Queenstown HawkerFest 2023 kick starts from 18 Nov to 17 Dec 2023, featuring FOUR specifically curated hawker-related events that span across FIVE iconic Queenstown hawker centres — ABC Brickworks, Margaret Drive Food Centre, Mei Ling Market, Tanglin Halt Market and Alexandra Village.

We love to highlight the QT Hawker Heritage Trail where families can take a trip down memory lane and uncover the fascinating stories hidden within the local community. Explore the FIVE iconic hawker centres of Queenstown and the neighbourhood hawker culture, and collect trail cards and specially designed stamps to stand a chance to win up to $300 NTUC vouchers.

Organised by Arts House Limited and commissioned by the National Arts Council, SWF 2023 features a series of over 200 in-person programmes by close to 250 speakers and writers from Singapore and across the globe.

40. Meet Garfield and Mr Kiasu at this Pop-Up Library

Running from 23 Oct 2023 to Mar 2024, the Garfield x Mr Kiasu pop-up library at The Centrepoint is National Library Board's (NLB) first-ever character-themed pop-up library. The pop-up library is modelled after home-grown comic book character Mr Kiasu’s cosy Housing Development Board (HDB) home and families are encourage to grab a book and to take a seat to enjoy the space. 

Not just about the books, take the opportunity to check out a wall mural featuring an artwork exclusively commissioned for the pop-up library, illustrating  the friendship of Garfield and Mr Kiasu, including how Mr Kiasu invited the beloved feline to Singapore to have a taste of laksa.

The pop-up library also features an Instagram wall displaying a standee of Mr Kiasu with Garfield, which makes for a perfect photo spot.

Just opened, the new ActiveSG Swimming Complex@Bukit Canberra features four swimming pools suited for different needs - a 6-lane sheltered pool, an 8-lane outdoor lap pool (up to 1.8m in depth), a sheltered wading pool and an outdoor fun pool for children. 

The outdoor fun pool is definitely the big draw for little ones. Families will also find a smaller play structure in the sheltered wading pool - great when it gets too sunny! Overall, this is a cool new spot for families in the area to visit and to have lots of splashing family fun together! 

44. Play at the New Outdoor Playground at Gillman Barracks

The Gillman Barracks playground is located beside Carpark A, in front of Block 9. It is close by to the many restaurants in the area and can serve as a before and after meal play venue for families! 

The one of the main structure at the playground is a tall tower for the adventurous ones to climb on to! This "treehouse" can be accessed via the climbing wall or cargo net, and little ones can exit via the 2 slides too - and for the older or gung-ho ones, there is also a fireman's pole too! The other main structure is a mini-obstacle course consisting of ramp, tunnel, nettings and more. It is a  relatively simple structure that is open to the imagination of the little ones to make use of.

45. FairPrice Block Parties with Festive Activities to Celebrate Deepavali

FairPrice Group (FPG) is organising FairPrice Block Parties at Kaki Bukit and Woodlands this November, in celebration of Deepavali. The block parties, which are open to the public and residents in the area, will feature games such as the trendy claw machine, carrom and many more family-friendly activities. 

Renowned rangoli artist and Guinness World Record holder for the largest Rangoli in the World Vijaya Mohan, will be creating a unique communal rangoli with residents. In addition, residents can look forward to meeting Singapore’s favourite kacang puteh uncle from Peace Centre, Mr Amirthaalangaram Moorthy, who will also be distributing free FairPrice nuts and muruku to residents at the block parties.
