Singapore's heartlands are set to come alive with the vibrant and engaging PAssionArts Festival 2024! From July to September, over 60 festival villages will take place island-wide, transforming local neighbourhoods into hubs of artistic and cultural celebration.

An Array of Activities for All Ages

The PAssionArts Festival offers an array of activities designed to captivate and inspire both young and old. From families with children to youths and young adults, there is something that everyone can look forward to! Here's what you can expect,

  • Art Workshops: Get hands-on with creative crafts such as food-themed keychains, Batik painting, food stenciling, tile and coffee painting.

  • Cultural Performances: Enjoy lively performances from local school bands, dance groups, and even the largest display of food clay art models aiming to set a Singapore Book of Records.

  • Interactive Installations: Come co-create large-scale visual art displays with residents and artists, providing perfect photo opportunities and a chance to be part of the artwork.

With activities happening across the island, families can check out the Community Arts and Culture Clubs in their neighbourhood for details of any events and activities happening, and to bring their kids down for family fun near home!

  • Central Singapore, Ang Mo Kio (Teck Ghee)

    • Venue: Ang Mo Kio-Bishan Park

Teck Ghee’s Lantern Night will be packed with activities, crafts, performances and workshops to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival - perfect for children and families.

The event will feature DIY craft booths such as paint-a-lantern stations and badge-making. Other workshops include phone strap beading, glass globe crafting and rabbit crochet keychain art. These hands-on activities provide a fun and creative outlet for kids. At the same time, participants can partake in a Pomelo Peeling Contest — so come prepared to make a statement!

  • North East, Aljunied (Paya Lebar)

The Paya Lebar Mid-Autumn Festival will celebrate creativity, featuring craft activities, a large visual art installation and school dance performances.

Families can engage in activities like Origami, Kokoru Paper Art, and Twisting Art at the various art booths. These activities are easy and enjoyable for children, making it a perfect event for families with young kids.

The festival will also feature a large art installation of pomelo-shaped lanterns made from recycled plastic bottles, providing an educational opportunity for children to learn about sustainability. The dance performances by local schools add a lively, festive element to the event at Kovan Hub.

  • North West, Holland - Bukit Timah (Bukit Panjang)

  • North West, Marsiling - Yew Tee (Yew Tee)

The Yew Tee Mid-Autumn Festival, in conjunction with PAssionArts Festival, offers a wide range of art activities designed to engage children and families.

Kids can try their hand at exploring the numerous art booths. These include watercolour painting, lantern-making, clay art, sand art, beads-making, pipe cleaners crafts, and even snow skin mooncake making!

In addition to these creative stations, the festival features game booths, snack booths, a Mid-Autumn Riddle game,  lantern procession, live band and cultural performances that highlight the rich traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival, making it a well-rounded family event that combines art, culture, and fun.

For those with an artistic flair, take part in the DIY pre-made lantern-making competition and stand a chance to win attractive prizes!

  • South East, Marine Parade (Joo Chiat)

The Joo Chiat Mid-Autumn Festival will be a lively event that combines craft activities with street performances, creating a fun and engaging environment for everyone in the family.

The event features craft booths where children can participate in activities, learn how to play the Kompang, make friendship bands, and participate in clay workshop crafts. Additionally, take part in craft booths making Peranakan Coasters and Tile Painting to create unique, culturally inspired art pieces.

The street performances add to the festive atmosphere, making this event an enjoyable experience for the entire family.

  • South West, Chua Chu Kang (Bukit Gombak)

The Bukit Gombak Mid-Autumn Festival is filled with engaging activities that are perfect for families.

The event offers a variety of creative stations where residents can explore activities such as Clay Art, Lantern Art and Shadow Box Making, blending traditional festival themes with contemporary art techniques. These hands-on activities are designed to be fun and accessible, allowing children to try different art forms. The event brings the traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival to life, providing a well-rounded and entertaining experience for the whole family.

Join the Tiong Bahru CC Mid-Autumn PAssionArts Festival for a family-friendly event that offers a blend of visual and performing arts. The festival features activities such as clay art, earrings/keychains, fruit and vegetable stamped art creation, donut soap crafting, and rabbit balloon sculpting.

Live music performances will round out the evening, providing a festive atmosphere for all.

The Woodgrove Mid-Autumn Celebration is designed with families in mind, offering a variety of interactive art activities and performances.
