7. Art of the Brick Returns to Singapore

Coming back bigger and better after its first appearance in more than a decade, be sure to be captivated at the Art of the Brick exhibit by artist Nathan Sawaya and discover more than 150 sculptures made of LEGO® bricks.

After touring over 100 cities in 24 countries and entering CNN's list of “Must-See” exhibitions, Art of the Brick is coming back to Singapore since its first appearance back in 2012. The exhibit immerses the visitor in a cheerful and colorful world. The artist used more than a million bricks for this exhibition!

8. Join in the Hoppy Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations at Causeway Point

The Singapore Night Festival (SNF) returns to the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct for its 15th edition this year, bigger than ever! Happening from 23 August to 7 September 2024, the festival will take place over three weekends for the first time.

Arts House Limited (AHL) presents A Date with Tradition at Stamford Arts Centre for three weekends.   • Between Threads: Interactive Art installation and facade projection mapping: Inspired by an unfinished beaded panel in the museum, the museum’s facade lights up as the installation celebrates the intricate artistry and diverse perspectives of Peranakan communities.

Meet Kiddo and friends at Mid-Autumn Festival 2024  Celebrations (同欢) as they bring you through picturesque paths lined with colourful lanterns, each inspired by joyful scenes of childhood playtime under the moonlit skies. Don’t miss a special lantern set designed by our local art illustrator – Mr Lee Kow Fong (also known as 阿果) that will bring back fond memories of traditional mid-autumn festival celebrations.

20. Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall Wan Qing Closing Fest

The storied grounds of the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH) is set to close from 16 September 2024 till 2027 as the National Monument will be undergoing restoration works – more than a decade since its last major redevelopment in 2011. As a “final” hurrah before the temporary closure, SYSNMH invites all to immerse in Singapore Chinese culture and heritage with Wan Qing Closing Fest, which includes the Memorial Hall’s signature Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival.

SYSNMH invites all to visit the Memorial Hall before its temporary closure with its Wan Qing Closing Fest spotlighting Singapore Chinese culture and traditions through an array of performances, activities, workshops, tours, and more!

21. Celebrate Mid-Autumn Family Fun at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre

Venue: SCCC and Singapore Conference Hall

The upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre will showcase an installation of giant mooncakes that will light up the night sky at Shenton Way and mark as the start of Mid-Autumn Family Fun (MAFF). This three-day event features curated activities for families, children, young and old to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival the SINGAPO人 Way together.

From September 6 to 8, 2024, families are invited to join in the exciting activities at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC). Be sure to visit the Roof Garden, where you'll find a captivating installation of mooncakes representing various dialect groups. This unique display transforms the garden into an ideal photo spot for everyone to enjoy.

22. Free Activities and OATSIDE Chocolate Malt at New Bahru

OATSIDE is partnering 11 local brands to host OATSIDE Fun Side Adventure at lifestyle enclave New Bahru. From now till 1 September, children and their families can head down to New Bahru to collect their OATSIDE Fun Side Adventure booklet and participate in a range of free activities with participating partners to earn stamps and redeem an exclusive OATSIDE Chocolate Malt Adventure Kit (with 10 stamps).

The activities include printmaking at Chalk N Pencils, bag charm making at MAKE by GINLEE, and completing a short workout challenge at Mobilus to earn them 2 stamps each. This September school holidays, join Great World as they organise a fantastic lineup of activities at L1, Atrium from 2 to 8 Sep 2024 for the Great Picnic Hangout!

To give families and children an entertaining, instructive, and educational experience throughout the school holiday, Great World has activities including storytelling, interactive workshops, and entertainment with play and education.

Families can look forward to movie screenings, picnic story-time sessions, Math Explorers' Olympiad Adventures, indoor Ferris Wheel and Spinning Top rides, and hands-on workshops (upcycling, colouring, and art jam). Dancers from MDC will also be presenting mesmerising performances, with a segment featuring dynamic elements of aerial acrobatics with a Lollipop Hoop, accompanied by the MDC original track Out of the Shadows, that was produced to celebrate MDC’s 50th anniversary last year.

#VolvoExplorers at New Bahru is part of the Volvo: Electrified event where kids will have the opportunity to design their own electric vehicles using everyday materials. The Voices of Singapore (VOS) Festival, returns for its ninth year to celebrate a singing Singapore.
