If you are planning a family visit to Lazarus Island soon, you will be please to find new facilities like a convenience store, a sea sports centre and glamping tents. These facilities have been added to give visitors options and convenience while preserving the island's rustic charm.
Playing in the Sea - Lazarus Sea Sports Centre
Run by water sports operator, Camelot, families can choose from a variety of non-motorised water activities at the Lazarus Sea Sports Centre from Oct 2023. These include stand-up paddling, kayaking and floating yoga boards.
Convenience Store - Sol by Bespoke Dining Club
A huge welcome for families is the island's first convenience store, Sol by BDC! This will definitely be a big convenience to families and visitors to the island! You don't have to worry about running out of water or food. The convenience store will also stocks groceries like ready-to-grill food items and microwaveable ready-to-eat meals, among other things.
Also, we note the addition of vending machines offering cold drinks and snacks at the jetty located on Lazarus Island too!
Glamping on the Island - Into the Woods (Coming Soon)
Also coming soon are nine eco-friendly glamping tents, which will offer unobstructed sea views. The tents will be along the beach and will be managed by local operator Into The Woods.
The glamping experience is slated to open in the last quarter of 2023, giving families another option to stay overnight on the island.
These new facilities will add to the island existing recreation options, including Tiny Away Escape and GoGreen, both opening recently too.
Tiny Away Escape - Stay on the Island
Located on Lazarus Island, Tiny Away Escape is a group of 5 tiny rooms where families and those who wish to spend a cosy island getaway and having a unique outdoor, yet comfortable experience. Each room is air-conditioned, with rooms suitable for both families and pets too.
Cycling and More with GoGreen
Families already have the option of renting bicycles and kick scooters from Gogreen @ St. John Island! This bike rental kiosk will also offer rental of picnic mats, tents and kites too!
