Explorer Junior was founded in 2013 in the National University of Singapore (NUS) by 3 graduates who share a common keen interest in early childhood education.
We believe that every child is a curious explorer, unique and special in his / her own way and should be given the tools, opportunity and environment to learn at his / own pace.
The mainstream, one-size-fits-all education system that is prevalent in Singapore is not able to maximise the potential of every unique child. Taking a constructivist learning approach, Explorer Junior aims to research, design and develop opportunities to nurture the curiosity of every child, allowing them to explore their interests & talents and construct their own meaning of the world through experiencing, tinkering, understanding & innovating.
Explorer Junior's ad-hoc thematic workshops follow a myriad of interesting themes, with specially planned curriculum or materials extracted from the enrichment programs.
Workshops cater to different age groups, providing 1 - 3 hours of fun, multi-disciplinary learning activities for participants to explore, base on specific subjects.
Explorer Junior is supported by the National University of Singapore (NUS Enterprise). The company has also received a start-up grant award by Spring Singapore
