Ah, pizza, one of the greatest creations we have been blessed with. There’s nothing quite like biting in a slice of well-baked and topped pizza but finding that right slice is not always an easy feat. We understand the struggle, which is why we bring you this list of the best pizza places in Singapore! 

And now we feast!

1. Al Forno (East Coast)

Established in 1995, Al Forno (East Coast) has been serving up consistently appetizing Italian fares such as, Risotto Pescatore, Italian rice with mixed seafood and a dash of chilli in pink sauce (tomato-cream sauce), Osso Buco, which is a braised veal shank served with saffron rice, and tiramisu, among others. But it is their pizza baked in a traditional wood-fired oven that has people coming back for more. 

Pizza Frutti Di Mare ($27) featuring tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, sautéed clams, mussels, prawns and squid, and Pizza Con Burrata E Parma ($29), featuring tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, burrata cheese and parma ham, are just two of the standouts on the menu. This cosy diner with a charming interior is often filled to capacity, so we would recommend making a reservation before dropping in for a taste of their pizza.

Bring some excitement to your pizza party by putting in an order for a ‘DIY’ pizza at Alt. Pizza. You won’t be tossing up the dough or popping it into the oven, but you’ll get to do the fun bits of choosing the sauce and toppings. Want to top your sourdough pizza with tomato sauce, Wagyu meatballs, aged cheddar & parmesan, fresh pineapple chunks, and fresh basil? No one can stop you. If you don’t want that much power in your hands, you can go for their signature pizzas instead. 

From The Hangover, packed with chicken fennel sausage and pepperoni, to Dangerous Diego, topped with chorizo, red peppers and chilli oil, Alt. Pizza’s range of flavourful pizzas is anything but ordinary. You can get any of their 11-inch fire-baked signature pizzas at $18 each. 

3. Bella Pizza

Located in Robertson Quay, Bella Pizza has been serving up quality Neapolitan style pizzas for more than a decade. On the menu is a wide range of classics such as Pizza Margherita ($18) and Pizza Prosciutto e Funghi ($25) as well as specials like Pizza Mascarpone ($26), which is made up of mascarpone, mushroom and black truffle oil and the highly recommended Pizza Bella Pizza ($26), featuring ricotta, salami and sauteed spinach.

Aside from flat pizzas, this ritzy restaurant also offers a small selection of calzones – folded pizzas – and Sicilian boat pizzas, which are boat-shaped pizza doughs layered with meat and creamy mozzarella. 

4. Blue Label Pizza & Wine

A cross between classy and casual with retro vibes, Blue Label Pizza & Wine is all about, as their name alludes, pizza and wine. Their concise menu has a small selection of starters and an even smaller selection of desserts, which means more room for their eclectic offering of stone-fired pizzas. 

If you love the traditional, The Original Famous ($28) consisting of five cheese blend, tomato and fresh basil is your go-to. Otherwise, you can try out other flavours like Black Magic ($38), which has green asparagus, black truffle cream, Jamón ibérico, and manchego. If you’re feeling daring, go for the Blue Label Special and leave it to the chef. 

5. Craft Pizza

Craft Pizza prides itself in creating the most delicious artisanal pizza, which you might just acknowledge when you bite into one of their creations. For a taste of the classic, opt for a Craft Red ($20) with fresh mozzarella, sweet basil, crushed tomatoes, and aged parmesan. The Carne Rossa ($32) with fresh mozzarella, fennel sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, pickled chilli, sweet basil, and pecorino romano is another great pie to get your hands on. This casual eatery’s intimate menu also offers a small selection of calzones with house-made ricotta cheese.

6. Kucina Italian Restaurant [Halal-certified]

Kucina, which means ‘Kitchen’ in Italian, is a 100% Muslim-owned Italian restaurant serving Halal Italian cuisines. Helmed by Chef Gero, an Italian-Muslim with over 25 years of experience, the restaurant has been steadily winning patrons with its toothsome menu. If you’re heading down for the pizza, try the Kucina ($21.90), featuring arrabiata base with mozzarella, beef salami, jalapeno chilli and turkey bacon. The La Barca Funghi e Tartufo ($27.90) a boat-shaped pizza with creamy mushroom sauce with black truffle pate, mozzarella and smoked scamorza, drizzled with truffle oil is another good choice.

7. Pizza Fabbrica

Nestled in the vibrant Haji Lane is Pizza Fabbrica, an Italian restaurant and pizzeria. Swing by this casual eatery to unwind with a mug of craft beer and delight your tastebuds to the hand-stretched wood-fired pizzas that they specialize in. 

On the menu are inviting selections such as Peperoncini e Salsiccia ($24), with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, fennel sausage and mixed chilli, Bresaola e Rucola ($30) comprising fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, rucola, cured beef and shaved parmesan, as well as Funghi Scamorza e Tartufo ($28), featuring porcini mushroom, scamorza cheese, and truffle oil.

Trattoria da Mimmo is well-loved not only for their tranquil dining ambience but also their food. On menu in this hidden gem are tradition choices such as Prosciutto Funghi with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham and mushroom, Capricciosa, consisting of ham, mushroom, artichoke, and olive oil, and Napoletana with anchovies, capers and oregano.
