Toast Box unveils its newest concept store, inspired by classic kopitiams of yesteryear, at Takashimaya Shopping Centre.

Step back in time at Toast Box Takashimaya S.C. which exudes the vibrant vibe of coffee shops from the 1950s to 1980s with its seamless blend of traditional elements with a touch of modern flair.
Designed to evoke fond memories for locals and share a part of Singapore’s rich cultural heritage to travellers, this store also offers a unique juxtaposition of a time-honoured concept amid a modern landscape.
Old-School Designs
Be greeted by a charming turquoise-coloured store; a departure from the usual all-white interior, decked out with classic memorabilia, vintage photographs, and warm wood furnishings which create a whimsical ambience.
Families will also find an old cathode-ray tv and orange-white public phone as part of the design.
Store Exclusive Mains
Besides mainstays such as traditional toasts, sandwiches, and beverages, Toast Box Takashimaya S.C. also offers a curated selection of hearty local-inspired delights, toasts and unique experience sets.
Indulge in Bak Chor Ramen ($8.80), a dish akin to local Bak Chor Mee, featuring springy ramen noodles in a robust broth with savoury pork slices, succulent prawns and fish cake. A re-imagined take on another Singaporean favourite, Char Siew Ramen ($8.80) boasts tender char siew pork, a perfectly cooked sunny-side up egg, and sprinkle of fried shallots, with fiery chilli padi on the side for those who like it with a bit of heat!
Elevate the breakfast or afternoon tea experience with an all-new Mentaiko Egg Sando ($5.50) with creamy mentaiko spread and luscious egg omelette nestled between soft and fluffy toast. Don’t miss the Waterfall Kopi/Teh ($4.00) , a visual and flavourful treat prepared the traditional way – a rich and aromatic freshly-brewed Nanyang Kopi topped with a thick layer of milky froth.
Experience Sets
These Experience Sets are introductions to our local culture and would be a hit with visitors and tourist along the Orchard Road belt.
For those unfamiliar with our local coffee / tea, the store-exclusive Kopi Trio ($5.50) allows customers to savour the distinct flavours of traditional Kopi, Kopi C and Kopi O, as well as Teh Trio ($5.50) for tea lovers to sip on Teh, Teh C and Teh O.
Similarly, diners can sample a variety of toast combinations with the spread-it-yourself Toast Experience Set ($4.50), featuring Nyonya Kaya, Hainanese Kaya and Crunchy Peanut Butter.
And finally, relish the best of both worlds with Asian Delight Yuan Yang ($12.00). This set features the brand's iconic duo – Laksa and Curry Chicken – in smaller portions, served with a choice of rice, toast, or roti prata.
