Lantern Displays

The annual Lantern Displays are back! Come and check out the lanterns inspired by joyful scenes of childhood playtime. The lanterns will light up Gardens by the Bay in the evenings, from 6 pm to 10 pm!

Celebrations

Dragonfly Lake, Bayfront MRT

Designed by local art illustrator – Mr Lee Kow Fong(阿果), this display draws inspiration from the rising moon and water elements of the Dragonfly Lake. Combined with nostalgic Mid-Autumn elements, spot whimsical scenes of celebrations during this festival.

Bubbles Bliss

The Meadow

Childhood memories of playing with bubbles evoke the feeling of warmth and nostalgia, reminding us of joyful family moments. Embrace this simple pleasure and cherish these experiences together this Festival.

Bubbles playtime: 8.15pm and 9.15pm nightly.

The Shophouse

Golden Garden

Inspired by Singapore’s Shophouses from the 1840s - 1960s, these iconic buildings with narrow frontages and covered walkways symbolize local heritage.

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with Kiddo and friends, reminiscing the good old days.

Dragon Playground

Supertree Grove

Designed by local designers in the early days, local cultures and identities were incorporated into the designs of these playgrounds such as the Dragon – a mythical creature commonly seen in Asian legends and folklore.

There will also be free performances on selected days!

Vertical Mid-Autumn

Supertree Grove

"Vertical Mid-Autumn” refers to a unique way of displaying lanterns where each household would tie various decorated lanterns to the bamboo poles and erect several feet high, heightening the festive atmosphere.

Joyful Childhood Memories: Folk Games from Korea

Supertree Grove

Celebrate Korea’s vibrant heritage through three iconic children’s folk games – Dak-ssaum (닭싸움, Cockfighting), Jegichagi (제기차기, Kick the Jegi) and Kkamak-Japgi (까막잡기, Hide and Seek) crafted from traditional Korean paper, Hanji.

Wishes Beneath the Moonlight

Supertree Grove

The Pelican Playground – once a familiar sight at Dover, formed part of the growing up memories of many Singaporeans. The communal nature of the pelicans embodies the Chinese culture of harmonious societal relationships. This display, paired with chrysanthemums and quails, represents peace and harmony.

Colourful Blossoms

Supertree Grove

Inspired by the Chinese phrase “花攒锦聚” (huā cuán jǐn jù), which means a colourful and prosperous scene, the Supertree Grove is decorated with a floral arch made up of more than 20 lantern peonies. Revered as the “king of flowers” in Chinese culture, the peony symbolises wealth, honour, love and prosperity.
