The National Day Parade is back and we can expect lots of events and deals happening to celebrate the nation's birthday!

The National Day Parade will be happening on Friday, 9 Aug 2024 with NDP heartland activities happening across the weekend. Families can also expect fireworks around the heartlands, as well as at the Marina Bay area (families can also catch the fireworks during the rehearsal dates).

1. 5 NDP 2024 Heartland Celebration

Families who did not manage to get tickets to the National Day Parade 2024 (NDP 2024), here's another chance to join in the celebrations in the Heartlands Celebrations happening the next day on 10 August 2024!
Families can enjoy crowd favourites such as fireworks, interactive family-friendly activities and static displays of Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) vehicles. Various schools, ActiveSG’s Dance of the Nation and Yellow Ribbon Singapore as well as community interest groups will put up live entertainment too! Each site will showcase military and civil defence by having vehicles on display.
From 12 July 2024 onwards, families can collect the National Day Heartland Celebrations tickets for their district at their nearest Community Clubs/ Centres. Each member of the public can collect up to a maximum of two tickets, while stocks last. The list of CCs where tickets can be collected can be found here.
2. NDP Festivities at Marina Bay
Venue: Promontory @ Marina Bay
Dates: 9 Aug 2024
NDP celebration will extend to the Promontory @ Marina Bay, co-organised with NTUC. Attendees can enjoy fireworks, the TD40 D3 high-speed maritime chase and aerial display live, participate in carnival activities, watch stage performances, and view a live telecast of the NDP at the Padang.

3. Catch the RSAF Island Flypast
Venue: See route above
Dates: 9 Aug 2024
As part of the Fly Our Flag segment, two CH-47SD/F heavy lift helicopters - each escorted by two AH-64D Apache attack helicopters - will carry the state flag around Singapore from 5.45pm to 6.30pm on Aug 9. There are 2 routes for those eager to catch the flag!
- The western route will include locations such as Woodlands, Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Batok, Jurong and West Coast.
- The eastern route will comprise areas such as Seletar, Sengkang, Punggol, Pasir Ris, Bedok and East Coast.
Six F-16s will also conduct a flypast from around 6pm to 6.30pm, and can be seen from locations such as Clementi, Jurong West, Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Batok, Woodlands, Toa Payoh, Seletar, Punggol and Bendemeer.
4. Grab a Meal and Fireworks at the Same Time

5. Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp National Day Concert 2024

Back for the sixth edition, the Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp National Day Concert will be happening on 4 Aug from 7.30 pm to 10 pm.
Get ready to be serenaded by this year’s headliner, renowned songstress Olivia Ong. She will perform 如燕 (Like a Swallow), the iconic theme song for Mediacorp’s hit drama The Little Nyonya, as well as her latest tune 光影 (Azure) in a special debut. You can also look forward to the exciting performances of various National Day Parade (NDP) theme songs including this year’s Not Alone by local singer and composer Benjamin Kheng, as well as previous NDP hits, Stronger Together and Breathing City, by Singapore Idols Taufik Batisah and Sezairi, respectively.
From 4.30pm you can enjoy a wide range of activities including go-kart races, and nostalgic carnival games such as bottle ring toss and knock ‘em down. You can also expect to be wow-ed by entertaining acts from stilt walkers and roving jugglers!

The Singapore Discovery Centre will be having a roving ‘One Heart, One Nation’ display at selected CapitaLand Malls from 15 to 30 July, 11.00am to 9.00pm! 7. National Day Istana Open House With Live Performances & Activity Booths
Venue: The Istana
Date: 28 July 2024, 8.30am to 6.00pm
Admission: Free for Singapore Citizens and PRs
The National Day Istana Open House (IOH) will be held on 28 July 2024, 8.30am to 6.00pm. The IOH will be open to all visitors.
In addition to entering the Istana grounds, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in two guided tours. The Istana Nature Tour features experienced nature guides who will share insights about the flora and fauna within the compound, and lead visitors to the Japanese Garden, Gun Terrace and the Inclusive Garden. The Istana Main Building Tour allows visitors to view selected function rooms and see some of the state gifts presented over the years to Singapore’s leaders.
- The Istana Main Building Guided Tours are limited to 15 persons per group and depart every 30 minutes from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm
- The Istana Nature Tours are limited up to 20 persons per group and depart every hour from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Visitors can also participate in various engaging communal sports games such as floor curling, bean bag toss, mini table-tennis, and learning candle making, paper quilling and Nagomi Art painting. There will also be National Day-themed performances put up by schools, community groups, and young local talents.
8. Take Part in Exciting National Day-themed Activities at Singapore Discovery Centre

Get ready for an exciting and heartwarming celebration as Singapore Discovery Centre marks Singapore's National Day with a series of engaging activities and experiences designed for families. So bring your kids to Singapore Discovery Centre to celebrate Singapore's unity, culture and spirt through a variety of activities that promise to be both fun and meaningful for the whole family!
Come explore the National Day Special Exhibition - "Yours Sincerely", and reflect on the words of Singapore’s National Pledge and explore the ways our actions uphold these values. At "One Journey", little ones will go on an enchanting journey through Singapore's rich heritage in a series of interactive and dramatised story-telling sessions!
There will also be performances, photo-taking opportunities, craft activities and more for families to take part in too!

9. National Day Celebrations at the National Museum

Celebrate Singapore’s birthday at the National Museum of Singapore's National Celebrations with various activities such as outdoor and inflatable playgrounds featuring iconic local HDB playground designs, drop-in craft activities, intergenerational programmes and our popular scavenger hunt at the museum. Don’t forget to check out Play:Date and reminisce about the joy of playing with toys as a child.
End the day with a “picnic under the stars” and catch the live outdoor screening of the National Day Parade on the museum’s front lawn. In the lead-up to National Day, look out for special light-up installations on the museum's lawn that take us back to our childhood days.
10. Celebrate Singapore's 59th National Day at One Punggol

One Punggol is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the nation's 59th birthday across 3 days (over 2 weekends)! From bouncy castles for kids and family-fun activities to NDP live screening, Punggol residents can look forward to celebrating Singapore's 59th National Day together with three days of exciting festivities.
There will be fun-filled carnival activities with celebrations reaching a high on 9 Aug 2024. It’s not over yet because the festivities will continue the next day on 10 August 2024 with the Heartland Celebration at Punggol that is located at an open field beside the Punggol MRT!
11. Celebrate All Things Local @ Majulah Fiesta

From 9 to 11 August, Singaporeans can mark National Day at Majulah Fiesta at the Singapore Sports Hub with the vibrant lineup of free events celebrating all things local.
On National Day, gather your loved ones to watch the National Day Parade broadcasted live at OCBC Square and Stadium Roar. Catch the “Fly Our Flag” flypast at Stadium Roar before a spectacular fireworks display at Stadium Riverside Walk to end the night! Do also check out the AL!VE Artisans Market packed with the crafts by local artisans, from 9 August all throughout the weekend at the Visitors Centre!
The festivities continue on 10 August with the inaugural Majulah Music Hub – catch home-grown acts including MICappella, Ben Hum, Kelvin Chen Wei Lian, Tay Kewei, The Island Voices, and Benjamin Kheng. Rounding off the weekend, on 11 August, have a great workout at the Majulah Fiesta Fitness Party at OCBC Square and hang out with our feathered friends at Pets Play Day (Feathers Edition).
12. 59th National Day 2024 Celebrations at Our Tampines Hub

Our Tampines Hub (OTH) is hosting the 59th National Day 2024 Celebrations from 8 – 11 August 2024, in conjunction with the Hub’s 7th Anniversary.
Pumping up the excitement will be four days of fun-filled activities, entertainment and freebies for the public such as stage performances, sports try-outs, arts & craft workshops, culinary workshops, fitness workouts, and free movie screenings.
On 8 Aug, get your family together and have fun at the Family Nerf Party while you race against time in this action-packed game where families of all abilities can join in the fun at the Community Auditorium 2 (12pm – 9pm).
On National Day, join celebrity hosts Fauzie Laily and Eswari Gunasagar for the ‘United Tampines’ Concert at the Town Square. The concert promises to be a dazzling affair featuring local contemporary orchestras with leading Singaporean vocalists such as the T’ang Quartet with Nick Zavior, Stringanza with singer Joi Chua, Orkestra Trio with Addy Cradle and Iskandar, as well as the Singapore Indian Orchestra and Choir.
In addition, there will be live broadcast of the National Day Parade 2024 with the State Flag Flypast which will begin from 5pm at the Town Square. The evening will end with dazzling fireworks.

14. Appreciate the Men and Women behind NDP2024
In celebration of the upcoming National Day Parade, families can get their hands on a delightful children's picture book titled "Let's Celebrate NDP!".
The book captures the spirit and excitement of Singapore's National Day Parade (NDP) and is a heartfelt tribute to the dedicated men and women who make the NDP a memorable event each year, while sharing more about the rich traditions and history of our nation. The book retails at S$18 for one copy and S$30 for two. Proceeds from the sale of this book will go to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Care Fund. This fund provides additional support to SAF service personnel who are severely disabled due to military service, over and above MINDEF's existing compensation and welfare frameworks.

Live musical performances from local artists will keep the atmosphere lively.
From 4 pm to 5 pm, join a community bike tour around the Central Buzz District. Led by a custom cargo bike with a solar-powered sound system and a seated DJ booth, the ride offers a unique way to explore Raffles Place with curated tunes from local DJ Leland. Celebrate our nation's 59th birthday with the illumination of four historical and culturally significant landmarks around the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct and watch them light up in the National Flag colours of red and white.
For this year's edition, Armenian Church, Central Fire Station, St Joseph’s Church, and Stamford Walkway will join the tribute for the light up. These landmarks – three of which are National Monuments – take us on a journey through our shared heritage that reminds us of our national identity.
This year's light-up will extend throughout the Singapore Night Festival until 7 September, aligning with the festival's theme of the "Art of Play." Inspired by the precinct's historical significance as the birthplace of some of Singapore's first schools, the Singapore Night Festival will explore the concept of play and childhood.
22. Jewel Changi Airport’s Celebrates National Day with a Light & Music Showcase Featuring ‘Home (1998)’ by Kit Chan

In celebration of the upcoming National Day, Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel) will be having a new Light & Music Showcase at the Jewel Rain Vortex featuring one of the nation's most popular National Day songs, Home (1998) by Kit Chan.
By pairing the beloved melody of ‘Home’ with stunning projections of Singapore’s iconic elements such as Changi Airport’s control tower and the Singapore crest, Jewel aims to create an uplifting experience for all visitors viewing the show.
In a departure from the previous shows that primarily featured solid color animations, this new show projects traditional hand-drawn illustrations and animations, reminiscent of a watercolour effect.
