Yes, National Day Parade 2020 will still go on, albeit with some changes so that Singaporeans can still take part in their homes and from the heartland. Both online and offline, the NDP2020 committee promises a digitalised and immersive experience, starting with activities you can do from home before 9th August 2020!
On 9th Aug, you may also use the NDP2020 Interactive Map to get "Live" update of the mobile column, fireworks and more!
Pre-Event Activities
This year's NDP will feature the inaugural Virtual Choir! Record yourselves singing to "We are Singapore" and submit it through the NDP website and stand a chance to get featured on the evening parade on 9th Aug 2020!
If singing is not your family's strength, you may also submit a story from living in these challenging times, and make a pledge to build a better future Singapore!
9th August: Morning Segment
A broadcast of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's National Day message at 10 am will kick off the morning segment, titled The Strength of Our Nation. This will be followed by the Live telecast of the Parade at the Padang via TV and internet platforms. For the first time in 55 years, the National Day Parade will have no audience... no audience at the venue but you may still catch it at home!
Look Out Your Window: Red Lions, State Flag and Mobile Column!
Look out your windows! In addition to the state flag flypast, a mobile column comprising vehicles from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and Home Team, F-15 fighter jets, and the Red Lions (SAF parachute team) will also be making special appearances at the heartlands around Singapore.
*Update 1st Aug 2020: The Red Lions will be landing near the Sengkang General Hospital and the Ng Teng Fong Hospital at 9 am!
*Updated 1st Aug 2020: The above are the routes for the mobile column for NDP 2020. You may also wish to take reference from last year's mobile column in the heartlands! Even if they do not appear outside your window, simply stay glued on the TV screens for the latest happenings!
9th August: Afternoon Segment
The afternoon segment will be for Singaporeans to participate in activities from the comforts of your home! From bonding over a cooking activity to working out together, let it be a day of fun and engagement for your family!

9th August: Evening Segment
The evening performance at The Star Performing Arts Centre in Buona Vista will be broadcast live on television and internet platforms. Similarly, there will be no audience at the venue, but you can still catch the performances from home!
You can expect films and live stage performances highlighting uplifting stories of Singaporeans as well as the virtual choir performance too. The show will culminate with a pledge moment and a recital of the national anthem, involving Singaporeans across the country.
Fireworks Across The Island
Following the evening performance, look forward to the fireworks display that will be set off from more than 10 different sites across Singapore! There is no need to squeeze along the Marina Bay area to catch the fireworks!
*Update 7 Aug 2020: We have updated the 10 confirmed locations that the fireworks will be going off at approx. 8.20 pm on 9 Aug!
Singapore Together Packs For All
Every home will receive a Singapore Together Pack, designed by aspiring artists with disabilities and Primary 5 students, containing celebratory items such as pledge cards and handheld flags, to encourage your participation.
The Singapore Together Pack will feature 20 different designs and more details, such as the distribution, will be updated at a later date.
