Paper Monkey Theatre is excited to announce No Strings Attached 2024, a mini puppetry festival dedicated to the theme of Environmental Conservation. The festival will take place from 30 November to 1 December 2024 at The Artground, Goodman Arts Centre, featuring performances by acclaimed puppeteers from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Korea, and Penang, Malaysia.

No Strings Attached 2024 promises a rich and diverse celebration of puppetry, bringing together international artists who will share powerful stories that highlight the urgent need for environmental preservation. This year’s festival focuses on raising awareness about the importance of protecting our natural world, using puppetry as a medium to inspire both children and adults.

Festival Highlights

International Performances

Audiences will be treated to a variety of puppetry styles from across Asia, with artists from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Korea, and Penang, Malaysia, each presenting their unique interpretation of the festival's environmental theme.

Environmental Conservation Theme

Through creative storytelling, the performances will explore topics such as climate change, wildlife preservation, and sustainable living, encouraging audiences to reflect on their role in safeguarding the planet.

Interactive Workshops

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops where they can learn the craft of puppetry and create their own eco-friendly puppets from recycled materials.
